Lately I've been thinking about destinys lore a lot I've watched videos and read grimore cards and went into the world of destiny myself to try and figure out a few things. So I came up with this idea is Xûr toland the banished? Or do the two have any relation? The reasons I think Xûr could be toland is 1-we know nothing about Xûr except for him being an agent of the nine now who is the nine you may ask well nobody is 100% sure but I have a good guess I think that the nine is how many members the group of wizards have also called the hidden this group consisted of eris, ikora, and toland, the other six we don't know but Xûr could be toland himself my other reasons coming up soon or he could be another member of the hidden. Now my second reason is 2-toland was a warlock banished from the tower now what do you do when your sneaking into a place your not supposed to be one you don't stay there forever which he does not two you cover yourself completely so no one will notice you. 3-he's a warlock if Xûr was any class he'd be a warlock if he isn't already 4-he was banished from the city and his wares bouts unknown but he was banished because he was practilcly scaring everyone in the tower by saying how strong there enemy was and how he'd seen the darkness he became obsessed with learning more about the hive so to silence the fear that was setting in the people of the tower they exiled him now what I think is he persued to learn more about the hive staying in the darkness to long to get mutated like eris and that explains why the darkness is coming off his face. So what do you think? I really believe I'm onto something here.

Xur is a jovian, which means he comes from Jupiter, but that doesn't mean Toland wasn't a jovian. That's why his face is the way it is. But really everything you offer has nowhere to stand, it's wild speculation loosely based off of a few grimoire cards. And not even entirely that is true.

2 RepliesI think that your thinkin to much as if this game had that much storyline
-
3 RepliesToland and Xur are not one in the same. For one he isn't a warlock. Toland also was a part of the Crota raid with Crota cheesing them not the other way around. So you would think that Eros would notice something, say something about it. It would be interesting however there isn't enough evidence pointing towards it to be true

Not reading until you learn to use paragraphs.

2 Repliesgood god.. please use more punctuation.. i dont get enough air reading your sentences xD

Pretty sure the nine rule over the jovian planets in the outer solar system, planets like jupiter and saturn

1 ReplySo there's also 9 warminds and xur could be working for them? I thought xur was Osiris at first but there isn't enough information on Osiris to make that conclusion the best bet too figure xur out would be to check out the symbols he wears and see if they match up anywhere I have yet to find an exact match but there's an eye kinda like Osiris

5 RepliesBetter question would be: Who are "The nine" that Xur works for......

5 RepliesI'll admit, I don't know anything about lore or whatever, but I don't think Toland is Xur. Xur is a different race called the Jovians, made by the Nine or something like that. I don't know the specifics, I should read through all the grimoire sometime. Reciting from memory, but I think the reason Xur is always hiding like he is is because he's a creature of darkness and the light hurts him (even though he's stood in light at least once), the vanguards know that he comes but his wares are too valuable to chase him off. I know even less about Toland, but from what I've heard he was interested in the hive or whatever, part of Eris's origional fireteam of 6, and he got lost or something like that. I don't think they every mentioned him specifically being dead, just that Eris is the only one who came out. Given that he was Eris's teacher it stands to reason that he may have also survived, hiding in the darkness. Also, I think it was Osiris that was banished, Tolands title is the Shattered. All in all, I don't think that Xur and Toland are anywhere near the same person, but it'd still be awesome to see more/learn more about them both. Stuff like this makes me sad about the potential story/lore Destiny could have had in the game rather then on cards.
Also. Do you really, really think that Xur would be a warlock? He evidently hates warlocks. With all his sulking about, the stuff he sells and the hood he's obviously a hunter.
6 RepliesNo, Xur is but a vessel to do the Nine's bidding. He said that he doesn't fully control his movements AND he even said that he was a vessel for the Nine.

3 RepliesDude I am Justin Bieber, live with it

14 RepliesI thought Toland died and Osiris was the banished Warlock.

Ask Eris about Toland.
