My personal thought. It has been mended before but people left or whatever. I think it is representing being inside the portal. After you kill the oracles on the left side, there is a spot where hobgoblins spawn during the gatekeepers encounter. So I think during Times Vengeance, there is something you do on "Mars" that does the trick.
Has anyone ever had their whole team enter the left side at the same time?

Some people have mentioned this. We will try different things while Time's Vengeance is active. I can easily see that being a key to something.

I personally think that if you survive, at the end of time's vengeance you will be transported to a place that is neither past nor present in which the chest will be located. Good luck in your search.
