I love it when Americans start talking about how to pronounce foreign words. They can't even pronounce English words properly so why do they bother with foreign ones?

Gotta love dick heads whose only sole purpose of this forums is try to bash on a country.... Out of all hundred and sum you pick the one country that's been there for many others for support and to help back then when in face of war or needing money... Not even speaking of the war in middle east. Speaking of world wars and the fact that at least 3 still owe USA trillions for helping rebuild after world war. Not even considering Japan for that since USA devastated it.

If you're talking about UK vs Germany and UK vs japan , you didn't support shit. You joined in when it was over and now a massive percentage of Americans think they won the war for Britain. Save it. And the original post is a pretty d!ck move and uncalled for, but he does have a point.

"Joined in when it was over" Last I checked the US joined in 1941, The war didn't officially end until 1945.

Edited by Cuppacakes: 2/27/2015 8:59:57 PMThe Germans were stopped after the Battle of Britain was won, more than a year before America joined... So yes, America did join when it was over.

Stalled is a better term. The war was not won, but it was a turning point. I'm not saying the US won WWII but not giving them credit for their role is just as bad as giving them too much credit. The problem is the US education system focuses too much on the US's role in the war. That, I can admit. I don't even think I can recall learning about WWI aside from info I've come across on my own. The US had very little to do in that war.

Exactly. That's what I was getting at, maybe wrong choice of words, but I wasn't bashing America in the slightest. Without Britain, america wouldn't exist as it's known today, but a massive chunk of Americans know very little about their mother country and it's very disturbing.

And you can even use correct references....

Can or can't?
