What's cheesier in crucible, Fusion or Shotgun?
So I know there's a lot of hate for both fusion rifles and shotguns (I'm a fusion rifle user myself but also like using hand cannons and auto rifles).
But I was wondering, out of the two which is hated more (or more accurately, which type of player is hated more)? Shotguns or Fusion rifles?

i find it stupid when people say your a noob for using a fusion .................. but theres only 3 types to chose from for special weapon sniper, shotty or fusion

Yeah, probably should have included snipers too. They can be pretty annoying. But you just don't see as much hate on the forums for them that you do for shotguns and fusions.

Considering I've hip fire one shotted someone with a fusion rifle at far longer ranges than a shotgun, I'm gonna say fusion rifle

2 RepliesNeither. I use my primary more than anything, I don't care what other people use. Everybody can use any gun they choose, it's not cheesy to use shotguns or fusions, out gun them from a distance, problem solved.

I've seen it across many fps games. Some of the most vocal and worst whiners are actually really good players who can't stand losing to a weapon or tactic they don't personally use themselves. I remember playing black ops 2 with some guy who had like a 3.0 kd and wasn't a camper. However if you just listened to him during game chat you would think he was constantly getting wrecked by campers with target finder lmgs. All he ever did was complain about some "cheap tactic" the other team was using. Then at the end of the game he's like 40-8 and on top of the leaderboard. It happens in all fps games. A fair amount of really good players are miserable perfectionists who can't stand losing in any way shape or form. It's probably what drives them to be so good but also makes them annoying as -blam!-

I don't have a problem with any weapon type per se, but if I get killed by a person across several matches and it's a FR or a Shotty every single time I think that's BS. Its called a primary for a reason. Use it.

It depends on how you use the fusion rifle if you hold down the fire button but right before you fire it you start tapping it into oblivion then it's cheesing however if you use it normal then it's fine and shotguns are made to be a 1 shot kill in close quarters so there fine

Shotguns are far more broken with their "range", as opposed to what you'd expect, and don't suffer even half as much from the mexican lag this terribly well programmed game has. Fusion rifles can be just as annoying if you're killed over and over from 5 miles away with a 12% stability rifle and someone who clearly was just praying to god for a single pellet to hit, but they at least do what they're supposed to do, oneshotting after charging. All shitguns do is leave you wondering about why it's not a sniper rifle icon that popped up just now. However, 4th horseman ftw.

4 RepliesNo sniper option? You can hide in the bushes from across the map and kill me with one shot and that's not noob status? So many totally ignorant people out there. Special weapons are meant to be special, as in I shoot you die. Shotty, fusion, sniper, they all have a time and place. Talking down on one class of special weapon is how we really know who the scrubs are.

Is it not skill to jump in on the other team capturing a flag/etc.. killing 3 then going back in to kill 1 more? That takes skill. Fusion rifles on the other hand are for suckers.

Secondary weapons in general can be way more effective. That's why you are forced to navigate the map to receive ammo for them unless you want to use a secondary hat has a regen perk like Ice Breaker or Invective. Snipers allow you to take your opponent out when they have no chance of locating you or firing back unless they also have a sniper rifle pointed near you already. Shotguns allow you to turn a corner or bait someone closer to you and take them out with a devastating shot to the head. Fusion rifles are great for navigating the middle ground where a shotgun won't reach but a sniper rifle isn't practical and a primary would take several shots whereas the fusion rifle only takes 1 or 2. They are for different situations, none are more OP or cheap. People who say that are crybabies that can't see there are cheap players not cheap guns.

If its not the Suros or vex people are complaining about shotguns or fusion rifles or sniper rifles... Just play the game or don't. In case you haven't noticed, EVERYTHING is OP in PVP. Just play and enjoy it
