It would be cool. As long as they made sense. Hardlight - arc for instance Also maybe if all exotic bounties were hard like Thorn it would be good.

Edited by YummerBummer: 2/22/2015 8:44:01 PMWhat about Universal Remote?
-
Edited by DuuJ: 2/22/2015 8:27:58 PMHard light should do arc, Thorn and bad Juju should do void and the multi tool should do all 3.

1 ReplySome should, some should not. Some make sense to have an elemental damage type, like hardlight, thorn or bad juju. While others, like hawkmoon, suros, or last word make more sense to stay kinetic.
-
I have exotic primary and I just use raid weapons in pve because they r more useful and offer different damage
-
hawkmoon should be solar
-
Vex is a primary with solar. I don't care either way, but I lean on the side of not having all exotics with elemental.

1 ReplyEdited by Kemaleon: 2/22/2015 7:44:59 AMApparently they did before release and Bungie changed their mind. Read this a lot b these forums and sure there was some alpha footage somewhere. EDIT::: Evidence showing Bad Juju with Void. Taken from http://planetdestiny.com/weapons/ Further investigation shows the alpha and beta had elemental primary exotics. Blame Bungie.
-
Mida should definately be able to switch between all damage types
-
Raid primaries are special with there elements. But exotics are special too. Elemental damage would be great!
-
Bad Juju was void in the beta 😢
-
That would be a cool idea. And should have been expanded from beta. But now they're making it so that the raid specific exotic has the element we want. As of now. I don't even use my vex anymore and I could care less about the necrochasm.
-
1 ReplyThey had elements... bungie took that out, kinetic probably had an actual effect because SUROS had kinectic while bad juju had void in the beta
-
9 RepliesI honestly think there should more elemental effects to the exotic family tree, but i think it should be limited. I wouldnt mind seeing multi tool havingthe ability to switch between maybe solar or void. -blam!-ing dope idea!
-
2 RepliesThe Hard Light really should have arc. It just looks like it already does.
-
2 RepliesOf course. I don't see why they didn't implement this from the beginning. It's why you rarely EVER see any exotic primaries used in PvE. Why use em when you can use raid primaries with elemental damage? So the only choice is using your exotic slot for a special or heavy (ice breaker or gjallahorn pretty much). If exotic primaries did elemental damage, it'd be alot harder to choose what your one exotic should be. It would make things alot more interesting. As of now though, exotic primaries are worthless in PvE compared to raid primaries. Maybe that's what they want, I don't know.
-
1 ReplyI like the thought of Mida being able to switch between a couple (or all 3) elemental damage types!
-
1 Reply-blam!- yes
-
Over 25+ replies thanks guys!
-
1 ReplyI'd be more likely to use a primary exotic in pve then.
-
5 RepliesI kind of do but that would make some of these weapons overpowered and if they gave them elements, some of the best features might be removed.
-
2 RepliesWhy would you think thorn should have an element?
-
1 ReplyCompletely agree!!!! They're -blam!-ing exotics!!!! Bungie is stupid if they don't implement it!!!! Hell they're stupid for not implementing it to begin with!!!!
-
1 ReplyI think just for the ones on the line of not being very good: Hardlight Universal Remote Bad Juju (I totally don't agree with this) No Land Beyond Does nothing to PvP effectiveness but adds so much to the PvE aspect of the game. Just my opinion
-
That's the only reason I use raid weapons instead. They are exotic and should have elemental
