No he isnt. It's not against the law for him to see an r-rated movie. It illegal to sell the kid a ticket. He just as to be of age to purchase not play.

  • In fact, if you purchase a ticket, game, movie etc. That is rated above your age, simply by making the purchase you are stating that you are old enough to purchase the items. If you are not, you are falsifying your age which is a fraudulant act. Aka. Fraud. Which is illegal. Goodbye.

  • You clearly are not listening, so I will say this as clearly as possible. First off, laws on ratings are only in place for AO-rated game and X-rated movies. Stuff you have to be 18 to buy. When purchasing a game if you appear under age the seller is suppose to ask you to show ID. If you are not of age, and they sell you the game anyway, actions will only be taken against the seller. No legal action would be taking against the seller, however unless the product in question is for adults. (M-rated games don't count as you only have to be 17 to purchase). Keep in mind Destiny is rated T and the kid is 11. Do you really think this kid as his own money to buy the game himself, No. His parent bought it for him. Even if he did no one will ask the kid for ID because the game is only rated T. It's pathetic that this debate is even taken place. You either have to be between the ages of 13-16 or 35+ if you think the kid is to young to be playing a T-rated game, come on. I would rather see him playing Destiny than see him playing GTA V(which he completely could if his parent bought it for him). Lying about your age isn't an illegal offense unless it's on a government form. Just like if you use a fake ID to get into a bar, the bar is at fault for selling alcohol to a minor, and not making sure that the ID is real or fake.
