It is by far the worst map for control as when a team captures B and C it becomes almost impossible to break them and get the upper hand. The team that spawns at C has a GREAT advantage starting the match, I pretty much quit every time I spawn A on this map. Especially if you're going to use control for Iron Banner at least make it competitive! It's terrible, it sucks, and the capture points need to be changed.

I agree it's not a very balanced map, but firebase Delphi is much worse imo.
-
I liked A where it was before they moved it.
-
I've won a game where the other team had two hard points the whole game and at sometimes they had all three. All the randoms on my team stopped going for hard points to focus on kills. Since we all went positive we beat the other team by 2000
-
You know you CAN win by Holding A and B , too. It just depends on the (random) team. If they're "satisfied" with A and don't go for C it's working just fine. Personally, i prefer C to A but in the end, you have to Do what is best for your team.
-
It's only impossible if your team is not good and doesn't work together. A good team goes in together and brings more bodies. People defending b/C are spread out. If you send 4 people from the front and 2 people to the back you will almost always get at elastic 1 point if your half good at shoot in or the enemies sucks at shooting.

I thought it was more even before they modified the map. Now it's dreadful. Firebase delphi isn't much better. Just cover the window and you get shat on.

Edited by FamblyGuy: 3/4/2015 10:42:27 AMPlayed on two teams last night that spawned on C but ran off to capture A anyway. The struggle is real

I love playing on Blind Watch. The Mars maps are my favorite, by far. I use the Vex, and that whole part that's near both B and C is perfect. You just have to switch spawns as fast as you can if you spawn near A.
-
1 ReplyI had some fun, with a group working together you can flip the spawn very quickly. I had 3 friends with mics on my team in IB. Two times we spawned A. Instead of capturing A or even heading towards B, we all went C. Couple people up top and rest below. We took C so fast because the other team all went B except for 1 or 2 ( which was no match for 4 people communicating). Once we had C we captured B. Dominated rest of the game. I have never seen spawn points turned so quickly then when we were working as a team. I agree though, it's tough with no communication to flip spawn points, but you can do it. When you have a team communicating, it is so much fun.

Blind Watch just irritates me now because nobody knows how to capture the right flags....
-
I think so too... But it's as easy as running across the roof with your team and taking c. The fact that you quit when you spawn on A makes you a scrub.
-
Idk about quitting right away but if your team spawns at A, the best way to turn the match in your favor is to make a group effort to C and try to swap spawns. If your team is unsuccessful and the opposing team takes B while still controlling C, it can get bad really quick for your team and then possibly quit if the other team knows how to spawn trap A correctly. The points do need to be changed on this map and Shores of Time in my opinion.

It is very hard to flip spawn on BW, but doable. Just takes a team of people who don't blindly rush C & B alone and get whooped. But if you are on a random team there is no effing hope of switching spawn. Especially if they get Heavy at B, its over... My solution: Move B to the top of the stairs and/or move C to right on top of that stupid silo or whatever it is. Make us stand like goons on top of that thing to cap C

11 RepliesYou're just plain WEAK. #quitersucks That's for playing n00b, I will be looking for you in the crucible, Can't wait to first blood you at the C checkpoint the same time you pull your ghost to run away.
-
Edited by Moot: 2/26/2015 1:29:03 PMTotally agree. I just give up if I don't spawn by C.
-
i think rusted lands is worse honestly. The zones are fine, however, every time i die, i resapwn near the other team. Its damn annoying.
-
I know how it sucks, but I just deal with it. I'm not the best at pvp
-
1 Replyb needs to be moved to the room up the stairs like on the left of B (from c side) and on shores of time b needs to be in the cave next to B and on fire base delphi B needs to be a little closer to C, by the intersection of doors near C window spawn trap problems solved
-
To each their own, I suppose. Quitting sucks. In my opinion, this map is wonderful...IF you have teammates that know what they are doing. Granted, sometimes it doesn't go according to plan, but I think that this map is fun, because the point you WANT to control is C. What's way worse, though, is when you actually have a solid hold on B and C...and then there's that one guy who goes to capture A. Makes me yell every time.
-
If you don't have C you lose. Its a stupid map if you are playing PvP solo. Basically broken
-
I personally think blind watch is an incredible map. It requires teamwork and communication.

Edited by Red Richmond: 2/22/2015 7:07:47 PMBlind Watch is just flat out a nightmare in IB. Throw a bunch of randoms on that don't normally PvP but are doing it for the gear, and that don't understand what control is about, and this map turns into a murderfest. I guarantee that everyone in here talking about how easy it is to just group rush from A to C and spawn flip, hasn't played with the average IB team. Never mind that running from an A spawn to C is perilous at best unless the other team is camping indoors at B, since almost every route is exposed to counterattack from a couple different angles. And any team worth anything will jump you the moment they see C going down. Really, the only way an average IB team is going to win Blind Watch starting from A, is if the opposing team gets stupid/greedy and captures A, then fights to hold it while B/C are going down. Sadly I've been on those teams too. :( All that said, the fastest and most lopsided loss I've ever seen wasn't Blind Watch, it was Delphi. 2000-something to 20000, because our team got beat in the fight for A and B and then we alternated between getting picked off in the C spawns and jumping through the Windows to B and getting buzzsawed by the other half of their team. Never even made it to a second heavy ammo drop, sad to think they were probably out of Gjallarhorn rockets and even low on Corrective Measures rounds by the end. Terrible, terrible map.
-
3 RepliesNo, the problem is most people try to take control by going for B. If your team goes for C, once you control that, you spawn on that side and can easily go for B. It's the same thing for most maps. Don't try to take Control by going for the middle ground, go for the enemy's spawn camp point!
-
1 ReplyI don't think it's broken, I prefer playing the "weighted" maps as it gives the team a clear objective. Sure, it is hard to re-capture C, especially if you're up against an organised team or playing with randoms that only ever seem to have eyes for B, but it's not impossible. Chances are you'll be up against some randoms too and if they're managing to easily hold down B and C there'll always be a hero that comes to capture A and flip the spawns.

1 ReplyCrucible just sucks period. I grinded all day for the ib gauntlets for my main hunter because i like the look of them. I already had full raid gear too. And ya crucible is a lag fest broken itself and broken w op bs
