I'm not talking about multiple guardians having the same gun I'm just wondering why we find these lost weapons. I can understand hard light, icebreaker, and pocket infinity kind of weapon because they were manufactured. But how do we find a bad juju, a thorn, or a no land beyond?

I always wondered about "The Darkness" and how exactly it works as far as a group or entity. Is it a united group of all factions? If so, why are they at war with each other, if they are united? Is it a group at all, are the factions not even a part of it, and just settlers coming in to our solar system?

NM, FWC WTC.. Faction wars... Perhaps these "aliens" are all just evolved humans. In the grimoire it states that golden age tech allowed humans to upload their consciousness into a cloud type computer thingy.. (Vex). Perhaps the Cabal were dead orbit... They built a fleet and found a planet with a significantly higher gravity than Earth and evolved to be huge. The fallen could be evolved New Monarchy members etc... Is it possible... This has all happened countless times before? (The matrix, oblivion etc..) This is common sci fi story telling. Thoughts?

Certainly you can make reasonable guesses about how a story could be written, but that doesn't make any of it true. You've based a lot of your answers in this thread on assumed lore that does not exist.

what happened to shin malphur. i know he fought dredgen yor (whom i believe used to be jaren ward) while yielding the last word. but why hes "renegade hunter shin malphur" is what im curious about. from reading the grimiores on the thorn and the last word it tells a tale mainly about jaren (told from the eyes of the person to be later called shin) but no backlight on shin whom is the last known person to carry TLW. also at the end of the grimoire it states that jarens former ghost finds (shin) and speaks... i wonder what it said to him

3 RepliesAtheon comes from the Latin atheos, "godless, without a god". Wouldn't that mean that Atheon is the leader of the Sol Divisive, the sub-class of Vex, and the guardian of time, ergo not involved with the Darkness at all? We know the corrupted Vex worship the Darkness as a God, but what does Atheon have to do with it and why do we have to kill him, if the Vault is the only place that the Sol Divisive can be found? I mean, it's not like they're attacking us, they're just straight up defending their home from some dudes with guns who want their chests
