50 Radiant Shards/50 Radiant Energy
Is This Real Life ?
Looking for some comfort in my small QQ rant. I've run Crota 6 times a week between three characters for the last 4 (FOUR) weeks. 3 Normal runs, 3 Hard runs per week. I havn't had the HELM or Chest drop a single time. I've been stuck at 31 obviously due to this RNG. 50 Radiant Energies and Shards are rotting. Everyone I've told thinks it's inane for it to be true, but I assure you it is.
Can someone give me a hug or something? Extremely deflating.

Also, if helmet is a big deal, run it on hard only, at least for crota. For normal mode you have 1.hunger of crota 2.Abyss Defiant 3.Swordbreaker 4.Song of Ir Yut 5.Helmet, (but a low drop %, everything else is common. For hard mode the only "unique" drops are 1.Word of Crota 2.Fang of Ir Yut 3.Helmet 4. Necrocasm (this is the low % drop) There are less "good" drops for hardmode crota, and when you do hardmode, you get both drops from normal and hard, but BOTH drops use the hardmode loot table. Edit: I'm fairly sure this is how it works, similar to VOG, however I can say with certainty the helmet is a much higher percentage on hard, I'd say I get one about every 4 maybe 5 run, closer to 1/10-1/15 on normal mode, I think I had 2 the entire time normal mode was out, took 12 runs to get my first one. Skip the boss fight on normal and just do it on hard, trust me.. For the bridge, you can do normal and hard and probably have a better chance overall, since abyss isnt' on the table during NM.

1 Replyhelmets finally dropped for me this week on normal mode... who'd have thunk.... now im back to 31 with my characters cause i gotta level those things up.... but the energies and shards you have will assure you wont have to wait until reset to get more to level them up when you do get them to drop...

1 ReplyDamn bro. Try soloing the bridge to get that chest piece. It's a 38% chance of drop meaning hopefully you should get it in 3 tries. I get a lot of gear drops when I solo it compared to when I'm playing with people.

2 RepliesThere is a higher drop rate on hard, and with hard you get double the rolls if you run hard first. So unless you need weapons from crota on normal, I'd stick with running hard only and you'll have a better shot. Warlock seems to be the lowest drop rate with the helm. I've gotten it once and cleared every week the raid had been out. I've gotten 6 hunter helms and 3 titan as well.

Still no boots or helm on my main. I leveled up a hunter from 1-31 and now my hunter has more gear than my warlock with a fraction of the hours played. (Good thing IB boots are 32 ;)

7 RepliesOk bud...unless you have all CE weapons youll need the energy...and shards are useful bc youll comtinue to obtain gear, maybe with much better stats/perks...i already redid my raid gauntlets n chest twice...internet hug , hang in there!

5 RepliesI thought they were supposed to put a "smart" RNG system in place for Crota so it could tell what loots you have and hadn't gotten? Or was that one of those things that aren't working as intended?

1 ReplyI feel for you man. Helmet drop rate is higher on hard, so save time and just run hard only. I've been on a boot draught before, even though boots have the highest drop rate supposedly. "Smart loot system" is not what it seems haha
