He'd be corrupted by the Geth/Reapers and all the tot her AI, he wouldn't have access to tech he isn't linked to
English

Sounds like Geth are rather immune now, since they cant be controlled by anything. Seems like it would be a better debate of Geth were removed and the flood were in the 'non-precursor' state. What about any ship that isnt Reaper or Geth that imolemented Forerunner tech? He would control these ones im sure. If he were smart, he would wait for it to be fully implemented before watching the fireworks.
-
EDI would be more than capable to handle Mendicant especially with that extra tech
-
How could you be so sure?
-
Because EDI can do what Mendicant does already in the ME universe, and Mendicant has been corrupted before
-
Arent there multiple Forerunner AI? Wouldnt they beat EDI?
-
Maybe But there's multiple Cerberus AI and you'd have to factor in Ancient Human and UNSC AI
-
Would UNSC and ancient human AI understand what is going on? Wouldnt they work with Forerunners and help them eventually find the leviathans to free the ancient humans and UNSC? That would seem like the best interest for an AI created to protect their people. Or do leviathans control them as well?
-
Leviathans would order the factions to order their AIs
-
If the intelligent AIs say no, then what? Remove them?
-
Make new ones Why would they say no they don't care for the forerunners
-
They care for their own race. they dont want these leviathans controlling their people. And lol, UNSC and ancient human AI wouldnt be too relevant anyway. Cortana is the best form of UNSC AI and forerunner ai is far superior to her. They wouldnt lose to ME ai. And in this war, Forerunners are supposed to be the allies of UNSC and ancient humans. AI will understand thay Forerunners are their best chance at getting rid of the leviathans. Also, once the Forerunner tech is implemented, how large will the ships be? Comparer to foreunner ships, atleast Regarding the leviathans, why would they want ME to win? These new factions just came in that are far superior to ME factions. Wouldnt they want these guys working for the leviathans interest? Bloodshed just reduces the amount. Also, leviathans are not controlling everything at once. I did a bit of research. They control organisms when they see fit. Organisms are controlled only when it's convenient that this organism do some certain thing. And why would Forerunners be controlled by leviathans when they find their planet, which they will, rather easily. It doesnt get stronger the closer you get. If you are an organism that is lesser than leviathan you can be controlled. If you are equal or greater, you cannot be controlled. And there will be resources outside the galaxy, if this scenario somehow happens, as the Forerunners have colonized outside of it.
-
The AI wouldn't know they are being controlled, hell they won't know they're being controlled. and the closer they get the more the leviathans would prioritize them, they casually control entire species from all over the Galaxy while doing other things. And if they go out of the Galaxy it just gives ME more time to bolster numbers and Forerunners would be stuck in dark space for a while.

Edited by God: 2/20/2015 2:56:25 PMYet, you forgot the flood. Given the flood start off anywhere primarily occupied by organic life, the flood will be going on a tear while the Forerunners retreat and begin mass producing whatever the hell they want. This might actually reduce MEs numbers. This is also given that Forerunners choose outside the galaxy over a shield world inside the galaxy, in which they could send trillions of sentinels at the ME forces. But again, how large woulf an upgraded ship with Forerunner tech be? And it doesnt depend who leviathans focus on. Every source ive looked at, it says only lesser beings can be controlled by them. And you stated yourself, in this war the Forerunners would be equal beings. And equal beings cannot be controlled.
-
Hardly equal in the mind And like I said before the Geth could handle the flood.
-
Edited by God: 2/20/2015 3:01:24 PMLike I said, if the flood occupy a primarily organic planet, they will continue to grow. You said for the purpose of debate, the Forerunners will be equal beings. Ive seen you say that a few times. How large will the upgraded ships be? For the 3rd time. If its anything near Forerunner size thay would take a damn long time.
-
It would take a while but weaponry is all they need They'd get mantles approach by the numbers they have, and they have superior tactics
-
Weaponry is all they need? Forerunners will probably still have the manpower. And if they have gigantic ships compared to ME ships, they will have so much more firepower per ship.
-
But ME has better and more diverse tactics
-
Edited by God: 2/20/2015 3:52:17 PMbut forerunners have more ships, bigger ships(more firepower sustained and given), an overkill amount of sentinels, and the flood are busy causing chaos
-
They don't have more ships And Geth would handle the flood easily Plus the Geth and collectors are infinite
-
I know the numbers were given somewhere in this thread. Forerunners started off with more ships. Given the massive casualties that will be sustained by ME in pre Forerunner vs Wannabe Forerunner, MEs will be a fraction of what they were before. Its no contest before ME somewhow obtains Forerunner tech. Once the Forerunners find the leviathans, the leviathans would undeniably be wiped off the face of the galaxy. Pre war AI will convince UNSC, ancient humans, and Covenant to re allign with Forerunners, if they dont already due to common sense. The flood may be contained, but there is no question they will have had a massive impact on MEs numbers. Entire fleets would fall in hours. The AI warfare inside the Forerunner tech will probably lead to a lot of malfunctions and many misfires. The Forerunner AI is ridiculously stronger than other AI. Geth and collectors are infinite? Forerunners mass produce sentinels. They have trillions of these and continue to make them. Wasnt it just a few thousand sentinels can wipe entire fleets out of existence in seconds?
-
He forerunners wouldn't ever be able to find the leviathans. A billion years and the reapers could never find them. How would flood cause fleets to fall in hours? They'd easily keep them contained, they'd have to play it defensively against forerunners until they get forerunner tech, but after that they win no contest, Forerunners would be to busy fighting Ancient Humans with supplemental forces from Covenant and UNSC and they would hardly have the time or resources to focus on Geth/Cerberus/Collectors all of which would mass produce more advanced forerunner tech in days, Forerunners would believe it's something the fleets are using. Not that some secret race is hiding out in a planet in unexplored space, Krogans would throw asteroids at forerunner ships and Volus ships would do damage to forerunner ships as they have the capacity to destroy planets, Protheans could detonate Suns and seeker swarms would be able to paralyze any forerunner personnel.
-
Edited by God: 2/20/2015 11:05:26 PMThey would know somethings up. The AI arent dumbasses. They could easily run scans and see that something really wierd is happening? How would Forerunners not be able to find them? They have basically cataloged the entire damn galaxy. Assuming they wouldn't know where leviathans already are, they just run scans on on any unidentified planet and find a link in the chemical imbalances in UNSC brains. Then how could the flood fall easily? They dont know what the hell the flood are. It seems this entire time you have assumed ME knows everything about Halo. The flood will hit them hard. Fleets fall in hours? When the flood take over ships, it causes chaos. Ships in the fleet will start firing on eachother. Thats what they do. Yes, they can fight back against the Forerunners, but they arent going to do much. Fighting defensively is probably the worst idea ME can do. Forerunners are way out of MEs range. They can engage at massive distances. Protheons can blow up suns? They can have fun blowing themselves up while Forerunners just slipspace the hell away. Forerunners will undoubtedly win the AI war, in which any Forerunner tech on ME ships(flown by non Reaper/Geth) is a death sentence. Again, the trillions of sentinels. The second the Forerunners feel threatened they will unleash all hell on ME with these.
-
They'd know about the flood from controlling the other factions, AI have no alliance with the forerunners so if they changed sides the AI wouldn't care, and I said protheans blew up Suns because a lot of people like to mention The forerunners doing that, ME wouldn't be totally outmatched, Forerunners would either think they've been betrayed or think ME is doing something to mess with their heads, but they wouldn't jump to the conclusion that creatures on an unidentified planet are controlling them.
-
It doesnt matter what they think. The Forerunner AI are going tonnotice something is up with UNSC and company. They are going to scan unknown planets anyway. Even if they arent looking for anything. So far, any new race they have come across has been shooting at them, so the probably figure that anything unidentified is hostile.
