What use does glimmer have?
I been playing destiny for about a week now. At the end of the day there is nothing I want in the shops so I blow all my glimmer at the cryptark guy because I don't have a use for glimmer.
What's the point of glimmer anymore?
Edit:
Glimmer is only usefull for weapon ugrades for me so its only as good as spinmetal or relic iorn.

You can use glimmer for iron banner gear, ammo synthesis, or just as the boost for crypt-arch

Upgrades and if you're at a surplus, heavy ammo. I would recommend not turning in the 200 glimmer consumables to the cryptarch. This is the easiest way to exceed the 25k cap.

do not waste your glimmer at the start of the game. You need it later. All your upgrades will start to drain it. I thought the same thing at the start. I was always maxed on glimmer. At end game you go through it more and if you don't want to waste time farming it all the time don't waste it now.

Mostly useful for upgrades. And in the late-game, you spend so much glimmer upgrading stuff that you never seem to have a good supply It is also useful for buying Ammon synths, which are incredibly useful in strikes and raids. Heavy ammo synths put toy back about 1000 glimmer per pack. And since you max out at 25000 glimmer, you will always need to work towards getting more, and depending on your needs might even have to resort to farming glimmer.

What do you know about the glimmer grind little noob. If you ever do raids (which make more than 80% of this game) then you will want glimmer

There are times Im at Max glimmer.. Next day I run out and need to farm more... There really should be a raise in the glimmer cap..

Plus I get bored of weapons so rng seems to come through in that time only and give me multiple things at once I have to upgrade. All I can say is. Using the vault as a bank to whoever thought of it was genius.

Since youve only played for a week, you dont know the struggle that is glimmer. Hell, i didnt need it until i had 3 characters and i was trying to properly equip them for every situation. So while you dont need it now, you will in the future (if you stick with it that long)

2 RepliesI wish I could have enough glimmer. I never have more than a few thousand at a time now. Maybe when heavy glitch is fixed, abd xur sells heavy synths.

Level up weapons and armor, heavy ammo at the gun smith, and iron banner stuff come to mind
