Remove Materials from Crota's Table

It's fine the way it is

Remove Materials

Increase amount of materials you would receive

You shouldn't be beating Crota only to get 3 radiant materials. Materials should either not drop be in his drop table at all, or the amount be increased to something more reasonable

  • The destiny game model has arrived at the point of monotony....but sadly, limited monotony! You grind on all three characters to get them to a sufficient level to do a raid and hope (I repeat HOPE!!!) you get that item you need and not some other item which you have already received 8 times. If you are lucky, you get the item you need and then you grind to upgrade it. But wait, I get such a limited amount of materials that I have to wait a week to hopefully get the right materials to apply it to the already exp maxxed item. If I put in the time to upgrade an item experience wise, its really a bummer to have to have it just sit there not upgraded. A new system for acquiring materials needs to be implemented which is repeatable more frequently than once per week. I can earn nearly useless ascendant materials in many ways every day but I cannot earn radiant any other that to run through Crota once per week (up to my cap of three characters...which should be increased...if I want to put in the time to level 10 characters, why not?...but I digress) and again hope, hell even pray, that I get the right materials. Then to add insult to injury, if I get the chest in the abyss and on shriekers, even the Deathsinger, I cannot get it on Hard? WTH. Bungie please make note that limiting peoples ability to do things does detract for their desire to play Destiny for an extended period of time. I go through each raid over 5 times per week because I am the type of person who likes to help others get through the raids, but it does get kind of old never getting anything. So I will get off my soapbox and offer my suggestion..... On the first pass through a raid, the loot table should give you items only. Whats the harm in giving out items. Hell most of the time doesnt have the perk I want anyways so I will have to go back and try again next week. Since I am going to help my buddies out, on each subsequent pass of that week, you should get materials....and if you are in the generous mood, give a random chance (since we are so fond of RNG) to get another item. This way you promote participation in the raids rather than discourage people from playing because after I have done all the stories, earned my 100 marks and done my daily bounties, what is left to do but lurk or heaven forbid, try to find a glitch for which someone could supposedly be banned for exploiting. Lets find ways to build up participation in Destiny rather than putting limits on what people can do each week. If this were the case, there would be no need for a trading system and you would give people a reason to keep coming back. Add the upcoming DLC and the options grow. Give people more things than they can complete in a week and it makes it fun because now you have to make a choice what all I can complete this week. I personally think that is a better approach than limiting peoples options and then making them go play another game since they have done all they can do this week in Destiny. This is how you kill a game quickly which should in theory be this alternate world we go to after our respective days in the real world. My $.02 and I welcome comments.
