Grabbed a gheleons demise out of the bank that i picked up during the last iron banner and rerolled it a few times
I think I got lucky, got a roll with firefly AND explosive rounds, but sadly it also has zen moment
The only other time I've gotten an item with explosive rounds was a Red Hand IX hand cannon and explosive rounds on that did ridiculous AOE damage
So ya, keep or risk a reroll ? Got 50 motes of light left.
Anyone ever use explosive rounds+firefly at the same time on a scout rifle?

Don't keep it. It's broken lol. Like literally it won't work.
-
Definitely keep it, zen moment is great on something with low stability

2 RepliesMy Another NiTC has both firefly and the choice of either explosive rounds, high caliber or flared magwell. I find that explosive combined with high caliber is an excellent combo. If I don't use high caliber, I use flared magwell, which maxes out reload. Reloads that take just over a second is a very nice thing also.

I have a DO scout with explosive rounds and firefly - it is fun, to say the least. It is the scout version of the Fatebringer, but with no arc damage. I would say keep that gun as is - you can wreck fools in PvP with explosive rounds. My DO scout is so boss - I love when people try to take cover behind something and I shoot the ground next to them. ;-)

I prefer having armor piercing over explosive rounds. Too many pussy ass enemies hiding behind shit when you shoot them.
-
Gheleons demise with zen moment wouldn't be that bad especially because it doesn't have much stability to start with

2 RepliesMy Saterienne rapier isn't maxed out yet but does have Explosive rounds & Firefly & I'd like to think its a beast.. I mean isn't that why people love Fatebringer so much? For those two perks? Anyway I've been hearing a lot of talk about the Gheleon's Demise that's being sold & I'm wondering if Outlaw+Firefly are worth swapping my Explosive Rounds+Firefly for...
-
4 RepliesI have the exact same perks on one of my scout rifles, it is my best weapon in the arsenal. Personally, I am not a fan of the firefly perk. Its nice when it happens, but it is not totally game breaking. Explosive rounds work better against group of mobs and shielded red enemies.

that's basically what Fatebringer has, except for "Outlaw". good combo. got them on my B line trauma from an engram. keeping it. it's awesome.
-
Firefly and outlaw a much better combo.
-
6 RepliesDon't use explosive rounds and firefly together the explosive rounds will cancel out the effect of firefly, so keep your weapon as is with firefly equipped and use a different perk rather than explosive rounds, you'll see the difference.
-
Don't explosive rounds lower your precision damage?
-
Explosive rounds hardly ever cancel out the firefly perk, in my experience.

Edited by Vikz88: 2/18/2015 11:15:44 AMPretty much a perfect roll. Keep it, max it and cut through the darkness. I don't know if I would use explosive rounds with firefly. I prefer the higher precision damage but I'm sure explosive rounds gives you a higher damage output.

I got a NITC will the same roll for bungie xmas gift and its the best gun I have by far. (Zen, Explosive and firefly) Using the gunslinger perks its the most stable gun. Explosive rounds is good if your aim isnt that good I've found and is very useful in a lot of situtations.

4 RepliesIsn't zen moment good?
-
3 RepliesI'd keep it because of firefly but wouldn't use explosive rounds with it, firefly has a bigger explosion area
-
Why would you want both explosive rounds breaks firefly.

2 RepliesEdited by WE5TY_B0Y0_: 2/18/2015 10:51:50 AMHi, I currently have a gheleons demise 300 version and firefly, if I reforge it will it be 331?
-
I gave the same roll I think I know it has firefly and explosive rounds but I think explosive rounds cancel out the firefly at times. I've hit some head shots on low level dregs for insta kills but the firefly perk didn't kick in on the crit hit. But the explosive rounds did. So it's kinda glitchy.

8 RepliesKeep. I have this roll on a Badger CCL and it's a menace!
