SUGGESTION: The "Crucible Perk"

THE SUGGESTION Some guns carry a "Crucible Perk." When engaged, the weapons dynamics change to suit the crucible (offer an advantage over weapons not acquired in Crucible). Phrased another way, a weapon could be a "power monster" in PvE but a middling weapon in PvP without this perk. THE IMPETUS BEHIND THIS SUGGESTION 1) Some weapons are disastrous to the Crucible experience (i.e. Vex} but how to deal with that. One way would be to remove the possibility for these few OP PvE weapons to get the Crucible Perk. Without it, they are not desirable to use in PvP. 2) There are some people, like myself, which have a tremendous amount of fun playing in The Crucible. Its very irritating to see people walking around with amazing Raid gear in the Crucible, when we who play a lot more crucible have lame gear in comparison. This evens things out a little, to create an equitable experience between different player styles. So, Raid gear could possibly not have the Crucible Perk and therefore be less effective in PvP in comparison to a weapon earned in the Crucible which has this perk. Im sure you could have fun rolling a 1/1,000 chance of getting the crucible perk from a Raid weapon... its not something I would want, but perhaps some would. 3) There is VoG specific Gear, Crota Specific Gear, Eres Morn Specific Gear... why not Crucible specific gear (beyond Saladin since I think everything he sells is upstaged by Raid gera)?

Crucible outside Iron Banner makes everyone's base stats the same (level, health, and damage). You do not need exotics or legendaries to do well in regular PvP. Literally there is no reason to sweat about being max level or having a multitude of legendaries and exotics unless you are doing end game content like raids. Destiny has a PvP component to be sure but it is not the focus of the game. Raid gear is useful in sense that it gets you to max level and has perks that help in the raid encounters. No other reason to wear it besides that.

    • That sounds unfair to essentially put people that wear raid gear at a disadvantage just because some people don't have it. Plus, raid gear really does not benefit crucible that much anyway. They give some boosts meant for events in the raid only, such as reload speed boost when an oversoul appears or additional damage to oracles in VOG, and they let you carry more ammo. Plus, for the weapons, you'd have people say the same thing for guns such as Thorn or Suros Regime, which are not really PVE only. Your suggestion only seems to focus on Vex Mythoclast and maybe Necrocasm.
