Or else this happens.
Don't revive your teammate if he's in the sight line of a sniper. Definitely don't do it when two snipers have sight on your ally's ghost. Especially don't do it 11 times in a row without making any signs of attempting to help after reviving. If you're in this situation, don't give up like he did. Nobody's perfect, they can miss, and you can slowly make your way to safety.
How does spawn killing work like this?
Basically, when you're revived, you have a window of invulnerability and nothing can kill you. After that, you have a moderately weak shield that generally helps you get to cover or disengage enemies. However, with a high impact sniper, shotgun, or fusion rifle, you can immediately kill the revived guardian before they have a chance to run away. There's a very small window to shoot to get the kill where they can't do anything about it, and after that opportunity passes and they're still alive, it is possible for them to turn, crouch, or jump to avoid bullets.
Side note: With Black Hammer and enemies using quick revive armor, it is possible to activate the precision mag bonus effect (White Nail) and it's fun and potentially infinite due to the extra ammo not being taken from the ammo reserve.
In case you are in this situation and you really want to leave, there's a way to leave. It takes 7 seconds to go back to orbit, and it restarts every time your'e revived/killed and a revive only takes 1-3 seconds. Therefore, you have to go to the menu and go to switch character, log off of destiny, or just go back to your console's homepage (Might have to exit out of destiny afterwards) or turn off your console if you're that mad.

I've been killed with a sniper from spawn points as soon as I spawn plenty of times, even on Control. I just assumed it was working as intended.

2 RepliesThat was hilarious! Why was he teabagging though?
-
4 RepliesThis is the only time I would revive a teammate. hehe.

lol reminds me of my days on BF3, but just with less players getting revived and gunned down again at once
-
1 ReplyI would go and burn the house of the SON OF A BITCH that kept reviving me -_-
-
1 ReplyHe had time to get away but instead he tea bagged his own corpse.

Bananaman would be getting a punch in the dick. Imagine how irate that kid getting reapawned was

1 ReplyFirst, that was hilarious, I almost feel bad for the guy getting his K/D smashed. But on the other side of the coin, it's just about the worst feeling when you're about to reach your teammate to revive them under fire, and then they respawn as you hold the button, leaving you to get mopped up by whoever killed them in the first place. So my PSA: if you die in Skirmish, wait a good few seconds to see if anyone is coming to get you. It won't make or break the match to hold off on reviving for a moment. Thanks.

2 RepliesQuick! Hide behind the pile of dead hunters!
-
Steal all, revive none
-
I like to do this with golden gun on doubles, I let the teammates revive each other so I get use out of all of my shots instead of just two
-
i never revive teammates. let the heathens refelect on their sins.

1 ReplyEdited by RoflBiscuit: 2/16/2015 11:23:18 AMYou sure his teammate isn't just being an ass? Not gonna lie, I'd do it to someone I didn't like just for -blam!- and giggles.
-
I suppose some people don't learn.
-
Would be funny if he teabagged you into losing the game by giving them the 300 pts they needed through 6 revives. I know it's not the case but that would have been a sick way to win.
-
2 RepliesI think the dude is doing it on purpose lol
-
1 ReplyWhat the OP said. There's not many things in the crucible that make me rage, but one of them is definitely the noob that not only can't get a single kill but is also hellbent on reviving me in the worst possible moment making us lag behind even more. Btw, a plain vendor LDR5001 (which I think is the one you used ?) will be enough to punch through the revive shield.

2 RepliesNot sure if scumbag... Or boosting.
-
1 ReplyI done this on salvage over the weekend finished my exotic bounties real quick. Would of gone the whole match doing if it wasn't for someone killing his teammate.
