Mic icon showing I have it plugged in when I don't
I have been having issues in game where next to my name in orbit it shows my mic is plugged in when it isn't. When I do plug it in it changes to show that I am talking when I as well as the room are silent. What could be the issue? Really hoping to get some technical support from Bungies end as this has been a very annoying issue .
Note I do not have a kinect

Did you resolve this issue?! My mic stopped working last week playing destiny, I could do everything with the mic EXCEPT talk (I could hear people, adjust volume and so on). and from then on, when I plugged the mic out the icon still shows by my name to say I have a mic connected. I do not have a kinect, nor do i have a connected headset but destiny says I have one in! I contacted Microsoft about the headset and they are replacing it, and paying for postage and all. But still, right now, i'm in orbit in destiny with the controller beside me with no mic (And remember I have no kinect) but it still says my mic is active. It goes away when I enter a party, but comes back as soon as I leave it.

7 RepliesYour mic is picking up too much background noise. Turn down your T.V., mic sensitivity, or sit further away from the T.V.

1 ReplyYou might have it too close so it's picking up your breathing or game noise. Why is this a "very annoying" issue btw? It doesn't affect gameplay at all...
