Also it's mostly a bunch of unskipable QTE filled cutscenes.
The final boss is also laughably bad. It's an 8 minute long cutscene where you drop your gun to engage in a monkey knife fight instead of shooting him. There's no music or dialogue during it and you get to hear the same 4 grunting noises played over and over again.
I hope none of you were actually looking forward to this or had it pre-ordered because it's literally an interactive movie.

Cutscene Simulator: 1886

Edited by Guardian5679: 5/12/2015 12:50:23 PMI wanted to get that game badly when it came out but sadly I had some stuff cone up so I was left with no money left then I saw the reviews and just by reading them it made me sick and decided to get bloodborne and I have no regrets Edit: and we thought not being able to skip destiny's cutscenes was bad..
-
I had it pre ordered, but never went to pick it up :/ . Saved me money to put down on Bloodborne (:
-
Longer than halo 4 on heroic

The Grunting: 1886

Good thing I bought Xbox...
-
I enjoyed it, unlike a lot of you I don't care about the length of a game. However I do care if I enjoyed the story and gameplay.
-
Yes very disappointing. Should have cost 15-20$
-
One of the few games you could tell was going to suck from the trailer alone.
-
I like the story and it looked amazing, but I'm not a fan of QTE's and like you said the game was extremely short. Sacrifice some of the graphics for a longer story. $60 for roughly 5 hours is ridiculous.
-
I looked at the game and it looked like cinematic trash. Other than the last of us there is not a single game worth playing on ps4. I have both consoles BTW and the only reason why is bloodborne.
-
No... It really isn't
-
Edited by bastage: 3/26/2015 1:56:52 AMlmao 3 hours of cutscenes
-
I have heard nothing but horrible things. Very disappointing after the system selling hype it got.
-
...I bought it with hopes played it for a couple..the next day it found a nice place in my trashcan..
-
This is going to be good lol
-
Its about the same length as the Last Of Us.
-
It's so bad! Worst value for money since that spiderman game.
-
It's closer to 8 hours if you actually take your time. And it's not an awful game by any means. It's just a very painfully average TPS with too many QTEs and a wasted story.
-
It's actually a really good game.
-
That game released already?
-
You know what makes the monkey knife fight even better? That it's apparently a copy & paste from previous battle. Good thing the cover-based shooting already drove me away since this looks like yet another bad "next-gen" game. It doesn't even sound like it has replayability at all, other than to collect oh so precious collectibles!
-
I actually like QTE : x and not gunna judge the game based on a 8 minute video out of context of the game. Regardless, the 5 hour playtime thing was already addressed by a redditor after they found a guy that had almost all the trophies. Apparently 10 is a closer to realistic number, but I'm sure if you speed run 5 hours is feasible.
-
These guys saying that the length of the game doesn't matter are fools. A game without multiplayer gotta be at least 25 + hours to be acceptable. The whole 'a movie that's 3 hours long doesn't make it better crap' is asinine. . A movie costs 10 bucks! Not 60! Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to game makers to get their sht together
-
Can't lie the story line is freaking amazing. Just wish it was longer and more the just a regular 3PS.
-
I heard 12 hours. Oh well. I already pre-ordered it no way it has more cutscenes than MGS4.
