My favorite sniper, aside from the black hammer. You really need to play around with this weapon a lot in order to see how well it performs. The range is maxed out so very little damage drop off. While it can be used for long periods of time, it's best used when you want a shit ton of damage in a very small window of time. Then, when you need it again, it already has 6 more rounds ready to go. I use this gun also when I solo the first part of the Crota raid. It has the +2 character agility and something similar to the firefly perk. I noticed with the firefly-like perk that if you get a kill with the blast, that enemy also emits a solar blast as well, meaning you can chain together a bunch of kills with 1 bullet. I use this tactic to clear out the thrall when they chase me or when I'm forming the bridge. All in all, no, it was not a waste of 17 coins. This weapon will be a fine addition to your armory
