New players - tips
Ive been playing for about a week, and I am level 10. I have come across a few tips for new players who need info on the gameplay. Got any tips to share? Share them here :)

When you get stuck during story run some crucible. You have the same chance at better armor and weapons as the lvl 32s. When I got stuck this really helped. I got some good armor and weapons and finished the story with ease. If you don't like crucible do patrols.

Join any clan that will help new guardian. Have some friends who play in the same time as you.

3 RepliesGeneral tip: Don't let other people play the game for you. You will CONSTANTLY hear about how this class sucks or my class is better than yours. If you enjoy playing a certain way that's different from the majority then stick to it. Tip for soloing: Take it slow. There's no timer, so take as long as you need. If it takes you 40 minutes to do a story mission on hard then that's okay. Ego tip: Everyone dies (lol). Yes, everyone dies but don't let this stop you from trying. If something is too hard and you can complete it you can always come back.

1. Do your bounties every day. If you can't play that day, log on and at least pick them up. 2. Do the highest level strikes you can. This is a great place to get engrams and vanguard rep. 3. Grind your vanguard rep till level 4. Don't pick a faction until you get to 4. You're wasting the xp needed to get vanguard commendations. You need to commendations for gear later on.

playthrough on hard mode, (lvl up fastest), hit 20, go and do strikes from there on out for gear

also (pretty obvious), dismantle all your guns and armour you aren't using, this will give you glimmer

Just do your bounties every day, because of those and playing crucible, I was level 20 before I finished the moon. Also, the "WE'VE WOKEN THE HIVE!!" Is a great place to grind out tons of bounties.

Don't break down legendary or exotics if someone tells you it sucks. I've seen people do it to new players and had to quickly call him out for being a dick

also, use your vaults to store you 2nd best items for your next character, if you decide to make one. this means when you get to a high enough level to use them, they can get good stuff early. here is a picture of the vault :) (ps they are the tower things)
