xur upgrades
I spent 8,000 glimmer and an exotic shard to upgrade my icebreaker so why did nothing happen to it? Please help

Hi andy2517, When you upgrade an exotic, you increasing its maximum potential stats such that it is in line with the stats introduced in the expansion, at the cost of resetting any perks you've unlocked on the item. Purchasing another upgrade for an already upgraded exotic has no effect on its maximum potential stats. It's worth mentioning, however, that an upgraded exotic with no unlocked perks starts off with better stat values than a maxed out un-upgraded exotic. Edited by JAMIE1409: 2/14/2015 2:17:01 AMThat system is to upgrade the gun from the old damage value to the version 2 damage value. As you just bought yours the upgrade was unnecessary and unfortunately a waste of materials. Edit: I assumed you just bought it but if not the answer is the same.
