I have been using the earpiece that came with the PS4 for around 500 hours. I hate this thing, I can barely hear and it's always falling out. So can anyone recommend some headsets? I haven't decided if I want one I could use for all the sound or just for chatting. If you could let me know if they are comfortable or what is annoying about them.
Edit : I would like to keep the price around $100 but I would do over $200 ish if need be.
Edit: I only want these for gaming

Edit: I usually game for long sessions when I do. This Tuesday I did both raids on 2 toons back to back, let me know if your headsets get annoying or uncomfortable after awhile X
Edit: wow thank you guys for all this awesome feedback, please keep it coming!
Thanks!
****EDIT***
I wear glasses, does this affect how comfortable any of these headphones are?

Edit: has anyone heard of this company Astro? I'm curious to see if they are good or not :)
Edit: I'm blown away by the feedback thank you guys so much for giving me all this info

I have the new Astro A40's for Xbox One and I love them. They make the same model for PS4 so I would try those. And glasses shouldn't be a problem with these given that they are very soft and adjustable.
-
I've had Astros and Turtle Beach. Both broke after way to little use. Now using Sennheiser G4ME One and love them.
-
Steinhouser G4ME 1, Pricey but great. Used best with a good headphone amp and the mic is really good.
-
I use the turtle beach stealth 500p and its a really great headset. Good surround sound and voice chat. Its around $200 so its not a bad price for the quality of it

2 Repliesdepends how much money you want to spend>?? you could buy cheap bluetooth ones from ebgames for 15-20 or if you want buy the official ps4 headset for like 60-100

I've used TB x42's for years and years (originaly with the 360, now with the Ps4) and love em...
-
10 RepliesHears my recommendation Turtle beach Turtle beach Turtle beach They are all top of the line headsets but it's your choice.
-
Tritton Warhead 7.1 comfortable. Completely wireless. To battery packs for endless sound... love mine
-
4 RepliesDon't get the trition 720+ for PS4, it has major issues that psn will never patch apparently.
-
Look into Tritton 720+, sound good, 150$ and haven't failed me yet!

1 ReplyI just use my beats by dre headphones. Work like a charm!

Playstation gold headset is pretty nice $100 and folds up for storage. Also comes with a wire if you want to listen to music on your phone but pairs to a usb device that is irreplaceable. If lost the headset can only be used as wired to the controller with slightly lower sound quality.
-
I like my A50's. My only complaint is that after a year the master volume wheel doesn't work as well. You have to turn it like 4 times before it will start going up.

Edited by Robsta07: 2/15/2015 4:13:47 AMI have owned two pairs of turtle beach wired headsets, 1 for each console. Never have had a single problem with them. As long as you take care of them they seem to last a long time. I dont play competitive anything really mine are so I dont wake my family while playing at night. The word is though if you want the highest quality with the best sound Astros are the way to go. I just cant ever see myself ever spending that kind of money on an accessory.

6 RepliesJust about to pick up Astro A50s heard they are the best

Sony Gold. Dude those headsets are a steal.
-
I really like the PS4 gold headsets. have had mine for a while with no troubles
-
Turtle beach p12 they are beast and I think I got mine for around 80 I don't remember
-
Turtle beach px4. Only way to go my man.
-
Turtle Beach P12's for $60 on Amazon, I think? Not expensive and pretty good.
-
I love my astro a50's. Comfortable, surround sound, Mixamp to put game volume down and chat volume up and vice versa. Pretty good quality
-
Astros are the top notch gaming headset that are meant for gaming. That is why you see the MLG Pro Circuit filled with them.
-
Sony gold are really good sound and comfort and i wear glasses so no probs there and the 7.1 surround is awesome and they last 8 hours on a charge also the destiny sound settings are really good
-
Astro A50's Gen 2! They're amazing, best headset i've ever owned
-
I use the Viotek VT849U USB Hi-Fi gaming headset. Very comfortable headset, sound comes in crystal clear and the cord is a bungie like material so you never have to worry about your headset getting tangled.

3 RepliesEdited by Blame Activision: 2/15/2015 1:34:41 AMV-Moda boom pro mic ($25), it works with almost any pair of headphones to make them into a headset. For PS4 just plug it into the controller, and for XBONE you need the headset adapter ($25). Way more comfortable than Astros or Turtle Beaches if you use good headphones
