For about a month now a couple buddies and I have set sherpa nights on Destiny for Crota and VoG runs. We run 3 of my clan members and then fill the other 3 spots with guardians new to the raids.
The first night we ended up with 5 raids runs which we thought was pretty decent since that means 15 new guardians got to experience it. Each week, however, that number has grown and last night we ended up doing 12 straight Crota runs, in a span of 6 straight hours to get 36 new guardians through.
I woke up this morning for work completely beat but also to messages of joy from the community we are trying to help. I have to say you all make it worth it. In my opinion the raids are the best part of the game and it is a shame that more people can't experience them for numerous reasons. This is why we do what we do and I am glad to see it is making a difference for those involved.
I don't expect people to watch this entire 6 hours of video but I thought people could appreciate how the night progressed, how we got plain silly in the end and experience the joy guardians felt as new items dropped their way.
Long live the Destiny community.
