Just a curious question, what exactly is wrong with someone who wanted to make 3 characters with the same class? I mean, people play the way they want to. What if they've never been interested in being a titan, warlock or hunter? What exactly is wrong with that?
*Edit*
Lot's of good answers. I have tried each class(my roommates each own their own XBONE and copy of Destiny). Hunter seems to be a good tactical choice for PVE, although I feel like the Blade Dancer and Gunslinger supers aren't a two button press win like the Nova Bomb or Fist of Havoc, they certainly have the edge if you're a skilled enough player to tip the battle into your favor.
If it's not clear already I prefer the Hunter class mainly because I like the builds in general. Both sub-classes are very useful in both PvE and PvP with the right tactics.

2 RepliesBeing able to trade the armor through vaults really means you only need 1 set of 32 gear instead of 3, which means less grind for you (84 shards as opposed to 252, that you need for 3 different classes) Honestly I don't think that it's a problem, but you should try out the other classes at least once.

I have three warlocks all with their own, fully leveled 32 gear (relax, they're not all wearing it. Stalkers. :P). My clan and other fire teams never had a problem with it because I always had a max level character. How many times have you wiped 'carrying' someone's lowly third character?
-
I think it's okay as long as you gave the other classes a real chance, I had one of each for a long time, but eventually got rid of my hunter because I just didn't like playing the class, made another warlock instead because if I have to grind the same boring shit over and over, I'd rather be spamming nova bombs...lol.

1 ReplyNothing mate!! Just play the game how you like it!! I have 2 32 warlocks with there own armor also a 32 Titan really dislike hunters so Yeah im Not bothered
-
Total noob move
-
Nothing. You bought the game, you can play it however you want. I would find it boring tbh, but I'm not playing that way so no big deal to me. Cheers, guardian!

I have 2 hunters. I barely have to change gear anymore. Ive always been most interested in hunters and they're the best class for crota. Plus i dont like glide.
-
Nothing. You owe it to yourself to try each class, but if they're not for you then who cares. I had one of each at 29/29/29 but abandoned the two alts with the release of TDB. I recently deleted the warlock for a second Titan and the hunter is on the bubble.
-
Nothing wrong with it at all. I have two warlocks and a titan. Hunter doesn't suit my style of play so I never made one. For people that can't sit and play 10+ hours a day it makes it quicker to get everything you need (RNG Allowed). Those that moan have no life.

Seriously been considering dropping a char for another titan. Less time needed really.

I don't care about the fact that it just makes the game easier, I totally understand. Having multiple of the same character GREATLY cuts down on time spent farming After all, we are playing to have fun, not just to farm our asses off right? Having 3 of the same increases your chances at loot, without increasing your time spent farming. On the other hand though, I think it is pointless to have 3 characters that use the same gear and have all the same abilities. I honestly have had a lot more fun since I got all 3 classes up to speed. Also I take a lot note pride in having one of each class geared out as opposed to the shame I would feel having multiple characters sharing gear

1 Replyyou don't have to work nearly as hard as a person with 3 different characters.
-
There is nothing wrong with having multiple characters.

2 RepliesI run 3 Titans all day. I'm the hammer, it's my playstyle, it's my game. I don't use magic, and I don't use knives, I hit stuff, I rock fist of panic, I get up to my elbows in hive guts, I kill captains from close enough to feel their last breath on my face and see their last thought in their eyes. I take a beating, I get up, I punch Crota in the face, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, HIT. I punch. Grrrrroooooooooooooooooooooot.

Edited by GANTZ: 2/13/2015 3:54:05 PMits almost as cheating , i tested it on a secondary PSN acc , made 3 titans , in two weeks (real time , not play time) i was level 32 because of 3x more drops and 3x less materials needed
-
i really don't see what the problem is with it. I had 3 hunters for the longest time. People constantly talked trash about it on here. So a little over a week ago I started toying around with the idea of making a titan due to the need for bubbles in the hard raid, and wanting to contribute more to my clan. I made a titan and had him to 32 within 3 days. Big freaking deal. I could make a warlock right now and have him to 32 in a week tops. It really isn't hard at all to get a character to max level. People with 3 different classes just talk trash because it's the only position they can take if they don't have one of their characters to 32. Scrubs.

Nothing. I used to be against it. (Like i used to be against a lot of things) but now, i really dont care. Play the way you want man. Hell, cheese raids for all i care! Seeing as how all these new Raid Exotics are becoming more useless.... Necrochasm is bad. But id still use it in PvP because i wreck with Eidolon. And according to a leak, the next raid weapon is a Shotgun! Where its special perk is setting an enemy on fire after multiple hits...something like that
-
Yeah I don't know why people are so juvenile about this. It just makes sense to me, if they give you activities that can only be completed once a week, have multiple characters to do it more.
-
Well, nothing really, easier way to have 3 characters with max level, you get the same drops so its easier...
-
Nothing is wrong with it, I think people just consider it the easy way to get all your gear.
