So many people complain about destiny saying it's bad saying the content sucks blah blah blah
But when ever I look at there time played it's like 500+ hours....I mean seriously I bet most people don't even play most games for that long
If you have played a game for over 100 hours I would say you have got your money's worth
Does anyone else agree?
EDIT: I am not crying about people who think the game sucks, I'm asking if people have run into the same thing

52 RepliesEdited by JAWZ66: 2/16/2015 3:22:16 AMLets be honest. If you did not pre-order the DLCs, would you still be playing? I had fun playing for a while. Created 3 characters, one of each class, to get the most out of the game. I purchased the digital guardian edition, and it has given me many hours of entertainment. However, I find the game to be very repetitive and boring. This can be said of many games however, so perhaps we are being to hard on Bungie? NO. We were misled by advertising to believe this game was much more than it is. This campaign was brilliant and succeeded in its agenda, to fool the consumers into preordering their product before it was released. I hope we all learned our lesson from this. Most players that are still playing because: 1) they have not already leveled up their characters(s) yet. 2) they are still desperately trying to get the coveted GHorn or they finally got it and are grinding to level it up. 3) there are still not many great titles yet and it gives them something to do with their friends. 4) they got the game later as a gift and have not played enough to hate it yet. 5) they are just easy to please and do not expect much from a triple A title. 6) they actually like playing it, for some reason, but they are the minority. I for one am done for now. I may play again when the next DLC is released, I already paid for it, foolishly, like many of us. I may continue to jump on to see what Xur has, but am primarily only interested in heavy ammo synthesis. Why? Xur has not sold heavy ammo synth in what, 4 weeks? Why does the Destiny management team refuse to let us spend all these useless coins on heavy synthesis? We want it. It lets us enjoy the game more. Do they want us to hate their game? I think they must want us to hate the game. Why else spend time fixing minor exploits before fixing all the bugs that make the game less enjoyable? There are so many bugs (Google them), and they have existed since release. Where are their priorities? Nerfing weapons and patching exploits, and of course, no heavy ammo for you! We have resorted to exploiting the heavy ammo glitch as a workaround, because we do NOT wish to farm for glimmer. The grind is not fun, sorry but true. Nor is having to do the glitch, but heavy ammo does not drop enough even with the broken RUIN WINGS, so why not let the players spend those useless coins on heavy synth? The only conclusion is that the manager is sadistic. He/she has no friends, everyone hates him/her, so he/she hates everyone back, giving us the screw. Poll: 1) How many of us are playing less because Xur has not sold heavy synth for way too long? 2) Do you think VOG would be more fun if the Atheon bugs were fixed? 3) Do you think the vault should be increased or, 4) Should the vault be eliminated, instead simply access your entire inventory, regardless of the character that has it equipped. 5) Do you think Bungie should spend more time fixing all the outstanding bugs or focus on patching exploits? Priorities? 6) Do you regret preordering the game and DLCs? 7) Will you preorder Destiny 2 and any DLC content? 8) Are you looking forward to leveling up your same exotic gear all over when the next DLC comes out? 9) Do you enjoy playing the same missions and completing the same bounties over and over, or are you finally tired of it? Many of us feel deceived by a brilliant marketing campaign. But then to add salt to our wounds, Bungie management makes us hate the game more with their terrible decisions, lack of support, and misguided priorities. Seriously now, fire and replace this imbecile and try to get back on track, before he/she does any further damage to the franchise. Bungie? Hello? Are you not listening to your "bread and butter", you know, the gaming community that trusted and paid you to deliver this incredible game you misled us to believe was much more than it is. Someone at Bungie knows who this manager is. And they are definitely not a gamer. Be bold, gather the evidence, the statistics showing the number of declining players, the blogs and videos of the unhappy community, take it all to someone over this imbecile's head. If there is any chance someone actually cares about the longevity of the Destiny franchise, then they will take the necessary action. If not, you will be better off leaving and working with a company that does. Do not go to the imbecile's direct report as they are likely close friends, otherwise said imbecile would not have their job to begin with and/or would have been fired already. Submit evidence to numerous higher ups (annonymously if you wish to keep your job) in hopes it will land on the right desk. The good ol' boy network in company management can go up many levels, so tread carefully. I imagine there are many unhappy devs on the Destiny team that hate their job and are sick of this tyrant of a manager that is continuing to make most everyone hate this already boring grind of a game. I am a developer for almost 20 years, so I am confident this is the case, as I have worked for many of these lousy managers. It is only a matter of time, you WILL get fired Mr.or Miss Imbecile, with your closed door, unapproachable management style, that has their dev team too afraid to speak up during meetings. We know the type of manager you are, rule by your authority, old school power trip, not open to creative thinking or new ideas. You will be replaced. I personally will not be purchasing Destiny 2 unless I see some changes in the sadistic management style prevalent in the current release. And I certainly will never preorder another game, especially a digital version. Lesson learned, albeit too late.

Destiny doesn't suck per se' but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was disappointed. Most people currently seem to either love something or hate it with very little in between. I think those people lack emotional depth. The strong negative reaction from a lot of the early players that pre ordered is from what we were sold versus what we received. A very different product.

I agree with you, I haven't played 500 hours yet but I think I reached the 100 hour mark. Most of my friends have played more than I have. I see most of the people on my friend's list play well into the night. If most of them are still playing then it must be a fairly good game since some are parents and students and the majority work full time. For me to take the time to play a game well into the night despite my homework is a sign it's a fairly good game since I tend to put games down after the first ten hours. So in my opinion, a good game and worth the money.

I wouldn't say that Destiny sucks. yes it has it's issues, lack of story etc. You could do far worse than Destiny. Personally, I will keep playing until HOW comes out and then the big decision that a lot of us will have to make is, are we prepared to fork out more $ for the Comet stuff? I have a ltd edition so all my stuff has been free and will be up to HOW, after that, I am not sure.

1 ReplyI agree with you. If you have a certain amount of hours into a game you either enjoyed some part of it or ...you're weird and do things you don't enjoy...anyways I've gotten to a point where I have 3 32's and all the weapons/armor I want. So now I'm bored. I get on only if friends need help with a certain part. I don't even care to raid or do nightfalls. Just here waiting for the next dlc..

1 ReplyI couldn't agree more. Yet they're the same people who still play this game lol.

Totally agree with you. People should never buy into the hype. Companies only want to make money. People that hate the game or are bored need to move on or take a break. I love this game and do hope the problems are addressed and the universe continues to expand. It's only a game.

Going afk in strikes or PvP counts as play time. Since this game solely rewards time played, yeah, you're going to see a lot of players with a lot of time spent.

6 RepliesI agree running. Scrota over and over for the next 4 months till dlc is more than enough to do and provide great fun for months I mean jeesh .. What do you want ?!? New story missions it already takes 3 whole hours to play thru the ones we have.. More than enough.. More items i mean there are 3 sets of armors so of 16 million players only 5.3 million people are wearing the same set more than enough selection! More weapons ... No way just because everyone uses suros , icebreaker ,and ghorn Is a choice there are still 20 others to pick from . New raids ... Bullshyt just because you are forced to run crotas end 320 times there are many areas to explore rocks and holes you have yet to see So what if its pitch black! Your eyes will adjust . More strikes... We have like 6 sets .. So what if they are all low level and drop mostly useless crap Roc goes to 26 thats only 6 levels outdated and you can get exotics from the 2% drop rate Stop your bytching destiny is fine !

2 RepliesDumping x amount of hundreds of hours in to a game doesn't make it good. I only dropped as much time as I did because I was hoping the game would actually get better since launch and it's still a piece of shit. The shit ass weekly updates from retard face Deej himself have done nothing extremely useful for the actual development of this so called ten year game. I regret the amount of time I wasted on this game and the only reason I will ever be on is to do my reset which I end up doing every thing that day. The lack of content is a -blam!-ing joke

2 RepliesI hate reading it and stuff but if they have that many hours it shows that they care about this game a lot (maybe a little too much) and they want it to succeed. They just dont want it to die
-
I can't explain why i can't explain it just sucks to do the same old stuff over and over and over and over and over and over and then.....and then....no and then it's just gets boring what else is there to say meg? Shut up and play the game or turn it off sigh ....well then back to taking a ........ugh dump.

1 ReplyI honestly think Destiny's potential is there, its a fun game to play. however it fails on so many levels. they could've done so much more to keep people playing for longer. unfortunately the reasons they want people to keep playing(like grinding) are also the exact reasons why players are now turning away. when u do the same bounties over and over, for such little rewards that are decided by RNG, it becomes a state of hell. i'm guessing u don't have many hrs played on this game, when u do you'll understand

It's strange. I have close to 600 hours played. To say I got my money's worth is an understatement. However there are so many things that Bungie could improve in that it's frustrating. A lot of the "hate" is just that, frustration. Hence why ppl keep playing and complaining. It's human nature to complain
