All 3 characters to have the same weapon each (e.g Icebreaker) or swap it around?
How do you guys do it?
I can see the pros and cons for each.
Pro of having 3 of each: no need to swap.
Cons: maxing out the 3 will take 3 times longer
Pro of having one and swapping: you level up the gun faster since you are able to concentrate all your materials into that one gun
Cons: you need to swap it around (inconvenience)
What are your thoughts?

1 ReplyYa I found that weapon swapping was taking a lot of time so I have 1 for each character for the truly good exotics (ghorn, mytho, IB) and VOG weapons. Still working on getting 3 of each Crota weapon. I mostly raid w/ randoms from the forums so the patience needed to swap between 3 runs isn't always there and can screw you sometimes.

I have 7? weapons that I swap between each. Partly RNG based, partly can't be bothered max out multiples of the same gun. If I get the same gun twice il generally look at perks, decide which is better for me and destroy the other. Levelling guns takes quite a bit longer than armour so it's just not worth my time when I can just swap a gun I really like between them (obviously raid/exotic guns don't count as they have the same rolls every time)

One for each. What else do you honestly have to do after the raids? I do it with guns like IB and exotic/raid armor. Some raid guns also. Only the best though. Space is at a premium afterall.

Only 1 of each, besides the 2 ghorn's... Waste of vault space

I have one for each. Maxed all my Ice Breakers within a week. I'm too lazy to swap them in the Vaults.

Yeah as you keep playing 3 of each is best. You get tired of swapping and if your under a time constraint like joining a group to run crota hard and get back to them just to find out the have 6 already will piss you off!

I have 3 of following: thorn, bad juju, IB, ghorn :) Not to mention pair of scout rifle on each char that has firefly and explosive round

I have 3, one for each character, and the IB never comes out of their inventory.

A vault in the ship would give us more time to get stuff done that's for sure

1 of each your going to level them anyways by using them and we have the excess materials

2 RepliesAfter a few weeks of swapping IB back n forth, logging in with the one that didnt have it, having to switch characters drop it in vault, switch back, etc etc... easier to buy a 2nd one. Glad Xur sold it again.

I've been swapping it around for a long time now. It isn't a big deal as I usually start and finish in the tower every time I play. You just have to store it every day when you finish playing. I do plan on buying two more tonight though. That's only because I have aLOT of strange coins and nothing to spend them on.

Swappings too tedious. I keep an IB, P&T, Suros, Thunderlord and Mida on each of my characters.

I try to get multiples so I don't have to juggle different stuff out of my vault to make room only to then switch characters, go to the tower and get the gun I want, and then finally start playing.

I don't have doubles as I already don't have very much vault space :/

I've started levelling HAWKMOON Gjallahorn and some PVP weapons on each character due to annoyance of vault space shortage and pain of switching

Put everything in your vault. Just make sure to go to the tower before you start playing and before you get off to grab your stuff.

Depends on what the weapon is and how much you love it. I LOVE fatebringer, Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn, so as such I have one maxed on each character (almost). Only thing I'm missing now is a third maxed fatebringer. Already have 3 max Gjallys, and soon 3 maxed IBs. No its not at all a problem to drop off items in the vault to share, but when those are the 3 weapons you primarily run to tower to switch it makes switching characters so much easier knowing each char has at least your standard 3 on them at all times. Now If I could just get a FEW more LDR 5001's to drop for my 2nd and 3rd characters I'd be even happier. Currently I have a void, arc, and solar LDR but only one of each. Really I just want another few with field scout for 6 round sniper mags on LDR.

Buy three! I bought two last time and upgraded one because I earned it or so people say. It is worth it

I swap 16 guns every time I switch characters. 4 stay in the vault permanently, others stay on separate characters.
