Word of Crota: the worst raid weapon in the game
This gun really really needs a buff
-ammo reserve is HORRIBLE
-impact is bad
-unique perk is useless because you only end up with 16 bullets if you can manage all headshots, also the low impact high fire rate is weird to have when this is supposed to be a precision perk
-sights are obstructive and difficult to use compared to other hand cannon sights
I seriously can not think of a raid weapon worse than word of crota from VoG or CE. There's no reason you cant buff a legendary, please do it

If you use the "send it" perk it has noticeably better range than even fatebringer.

Everyone who doesn't like the feel of the gun should switch to the third sights. The handling improves noticeably.

Its not bad for PVP, I like the Fang better in all cases but it's still a good gun. Very good for the void nightfall

I needed a void primary for Nightfall this week, so I was quite happy when my Tuesday run of Crota hard mode got me this gun. And true to form I wrecked shit when I ran the Nightfall on Wednesday. Generically speaking though, this wouldn't even come close to being a replacement for something like Thorn or TLW in Crucible, which is the only place I really use Hand Cannons anyway. I might trot it back out when Iron Banner comes back around, just to see how it does, but I imagine Thorn or TLW will be better there too.

I like it quite a bit, I hated the sight at first too, but after using it a lot I've gotten use to it. You just put the flat top on their collarbone.

It's alright not the greatest hand cannon but it's pretty good for first part of Crota

I was not a hand cannon user until i got a bunch of WoC's so my opinion is not an expert one on hand cannons lol. I have reached the point where i am using weapons i wasnt using at all early in the game to give me something to do and break up the monotonous grind. But i have to say i have been having fun with it. It was fun on the nightfall this week. I never had the luck to have fatebringer drop. Im thinking i should go back and run VoG to try to get one and at least experience what all the love is about. Next up is an untouched last word i got from crota in the same drop as a WoC, for hand cannons not being my fav and wishing for the scout rifle i had to laugh at that one.

More importantly imo is that it just doesn't feel good. I really don't know how to describe it but hawk moon last word and fatebringer all feel better. More crits...better sights maybe???

Having 33k kills with a hand cannon gives you more right than most to complain about this. I had a hard time accepting that I had to give up Fatebringer for word of Crota. I'm still not happy about it, but I think Bungie set the bar too high and they felt they had to take a step back. Fatebringer is still the best gun in the game imo.

I love word of crota. I use it for hard raid and every other thing in the game besides VoG oracles. Land precision shots and it's a beast of a weapon. I like hand cannons though so it makes it the best raid weapon IMO
