Reason to buy a XB1?
Hello fellow guardians.
I'm a PS guy, since PS1, and play Destiny and everything else on PS4. I've been wanting to buy a Xb1 for a while, so I want to know what I'm missing by not having a XB1. Why should I buy one?
Please keep it cordial, not looking for a console war here.
EDIT: just to clarify, since this answer popped a couple of times, I will still continue to play Destiny on PS4, cause progress and stuff (and Hawkmoon :D). XB1 will be ANOTHER console, not a replacement.

I switched from PS4 to xbone Controller is so much more comfortable (long time PS user as well) Snapping TV while I grind is awesome. That's it.

Edited by GriffinRSX: 2/12/2015 3:48:02 AMI would not buy an Xbox One if you have no good reason for it, I have and Xbox because all my friends play on it and they make good raiding buddies, and I would not buy a PS4 because I wouldn't have anyone to play with and I would be unnecessarily playing $400 and monthly service fees. Same idea parallels to your case, if you have no good reason to buy and Xbox one, then don't just buy it to have it.

If you don't care about your privacy, think 343 isn't driving Halo into the ground, and have no interest in No Man's Sky, it's perfect. I switched to PS4 from 360. Can you tell?

2 RepliesI have xb1 and ps4...let's just say destiny on ps4 blows destiny on xb1 out of the water. Not just for the exclusives but the ease of navigating the ps menu with destiny is so much better. On the xb1 there is so much crap going on when you try to jump from your party to your friends list to invite someone then back to destiny it's just slow and clunky. I will still use my xb1 for just about every other game I will buy but my ps4 right now is only for destiny.

Halo's a given, if you like Destinys gunplay you'll like Halo. Otherwise, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Crackdown, State of Decay, Scaleborn, Quantum Break and Titanfall are the major games. Tech wise, if you have any windows PC or other windows device and are planning to upgrade to windows 10, you'd be stupid not to get an Xbox One. Also Hololense and F-ing Battletoads.

I was a big PS guy but I moved to Xbox when the Xbox elite came out. The controllers are so much more ergonomic and I found that to be the game changer.

I would save the money for games or a pc rather than getting an xbox. I'm only considering one because some of my friends have it. [spoiler] no h8 pls [/spoiler]

I hate m$oft and openly speak it all the time. Because of my dislike towards them as a company I never considered their console a viable option. That being said, if you have an interest in one and can afford another console, go for it. They have plenty of tempting exclusives. And I'm sure you'll have fun playing on it. Friends with the console is another factor too. Slot of guys you know play on one? Even a guardian needs to take a moment and enjoy a good video game now and then.

8 RepliesI suggest you should only get it if you have friends that play on it cuz playstation has always had better and more exclusives. I know xbots have halo and gears but those are only two games. Ps has so many more exclusives so I'd stick with ps. Plus you'd have to pay for another subscription service. Stay loyal bro. Stick with playstation.

1 ReplyXbox One has a better dashboard and service. PS4 has aesthetics and slightly better specs. All I know is, The Elder Scrolls Online comes out free to play for consoles in June, and that Xbox service will be handy.

Brand favoritism is just silly to me. Play what you find fun. Beyond that the only advice I can offer is, "Stick with your friends."

So first off Xbox live if it goes down its at most about a day, while on ps4 in can be weeks (it's just the facts) Besides that the xbox one controller is so perfect, I hate the ps4 controller And finally if you have a decent TV it won't really matter what console you have as the play station has a [b]sharper[/b] picture while the Xbox one has a more [b]vibrant[/b] picture It really comes down to what exclusives you like best though.

12 RepliesIf you have the money and you want one then go for it. Though expect - Lower resolution on most games than PS4 - Lower Framerate on most games than PS4 - Xbox Live gold games are not as good as the PS+ lineup
