Hello fellow guardians.
I'm a PS guy, since PS1, and play Destiny and everything else on PS4. I've been wanting to buy a Xb1 for a while, so I want to know what I'm missing by not having a XB1. Why should I buy one?
Please keep it cordial, not looking for a console war here.
EDIT: just to clarify, since this answer popped a couple of times, I will still continue to play Destiny on PS4, cause progress and stuff (and Hawkmoon :D). XB1 will be ANOTHER console, not a replacement.

1 ReplyIt's always good to play the games you enjoy. If Halo, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, or The Division catch your interest I would pick one up. There isn't much in the Solo,Play department though in terms of Exclusives (I only play Xbox but sony has many more good solo games) but there is still al lot of fun to be had.

2 RepliesThe only reason to buy either console is your friends. If your friends have PS4s get a PS4. If your friends have XB1 get an XB1. Everyone shut up with all this console war shit already. They're both the same with different controllers.

I can't give you a reason to waste money.
-
Umm... Sorry. Can't think of a good enough reason

You're missing precisely dick. All of the so-called exclusives (save for the hilariously broken MCC) have been ported to PC at this point. If you've waited this long, you might as well wait a little longer. Scalebound is looking promising, but why buy a console a year in advance and risk missing another price drop?

2 RepliesIf you wanted it or not you have stepped into a war. It's better to pick a side. Even if it's the wrong one.

TBH I have both and they both have their perks. The only reason i purchase more on xbox, is because i spent last 7 yrs on xbox and thats where the majority of my friend base is. Still love my white ps4! Best looking console I've owned! I think if it was more affordable everyone should have both. The big reason i do is because i hate when an exclusive comes out that i cant play. In the end it comes down to titles and friend base. Even when i play on PS I stay in an xbox party.

Both different consoles. I prefer the xbox controller, i've had less troubles with it. If your a windows user you will probably appreciate the set out of xbox's interface more. I personally always had more trouble accessing functions and what not on the playstation 4. The playstation feels just like an upgraded playstation 3 to me whereas the xbox actually feels like its a next gen console. None of this is to say xbox is better, there some things i prefer about playstation like its ability to function reasonably well offline whereas the xbox has problems with that. But if you have the money and are considering an xbone then i would definitely go for it because they are both great but different, both have good exclusives and both are worthwhile owning.

6 RepliesYa know. I'm kind of so greatful this game didn't drop as a PC game. because, those guys are tools. Ever get into a conversation with a PC elitist? hey go around assuming it'd easy to get your hands on £500 and buy the parts, and assume you know how to put a computer together. Look, darlings, if I had £500 fee money in my bank. I'd be heading to Germany for a holiday, or scoping out what reptile I wanted as a pet (as those -blam!-ers are expensive). If you want an XB1, you can, they're not bad, they're just jack of all trades. PS4>XBone in terms of gaming power. PS4<XBone in terms of bundled usage.

I think it comes down to the controller you like best. I really like the voice commands but i know a lotta people dont care Havent used the motion gestures since the tutorial

I've PS4 and Xbox One and use the xbox far more because of the secondard component intergration and easy of use. The OneGuide alone for sat tv listings is a great feature, intergrates well Vu+ receiver or dreambox clone. The snap feature is very good if you only have one tv/monitor. The Xbox online experience is much more solid and just feels better than PSN. Personally, I much prefer the Xbox One controller over the PS4 controller and use the Xbox One Controller for driving games on the PC. PS4 is a good system but I haven't turned it on in a month or so. If I want better graphics I use my gaming pc.

2 RepliesI don't have an Xbox nor have I ever but the feature that lets you play and watch shit simultaneously sounds dope and supposedly their network is down less than PSNs

Xb1 has a better controller, live is leagues ahead of psn, kinect, social features. Also I got it at launch and it feels so much different with the monthly updates they have. No reason to own a ps4 unless you're a nerd that actually cares whether a game is 900p and 1080p. Xbox one is starting to close in on that department anyway and this next year all games will be the same as ps4. You won't be able to see a difference unless you have a big TV and then even at that point you would need to have them side by side to see noticeable differences.

It got excellent Live service, Evolve Titanfall Halo - (the whole bag) Mass effect 4 The Crew Forza Call of Duty Tomb Raider And the best thing of all
The controller
The main reason I bought my Xbox One was for exclusives like Titanfall, Ryse Son of Rome, Killer Instinct and Forza Motorsport 5. PlayStation 4 only had Knack, Killzone Shadowfall and Infamous Second Son as exclusives at the time. Now that I have an Xbox One I feel it's a waste to purchase a second next-gen console. I will buy a monster PC first and probably a PS4 after that. I usually buy all the consoles. Still have my PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Sega Mastersystem II, Dreamcast...(^~^)

I bought an xbox and put in about 20 minutes of game time since halo mcc is garbage.

Edited by J0 N3SB0: 2/12/2015 9:18:56 AMEverything is of course subjective but having both I'd put the advantage (overall) in the Xbox column. Pro's: Better controller by a large amount Xlive >>>>>> PSN Exclusives are better on X1 (in my opinion though I do find it hard to see it the other way) Kinect (it makes navigating an absolute dream) Better upcoming prospects on Xbox Microsoft in better financial position than Sony (meaning more likelihood of future investment) Con's: Sony GPU is more powerful resulting in slightly better graphics on some games (not that noticeable though really and in my opinion Ryse is the best looking game out there) Quite big and has a big power brick It's completely up to whether you get one or not and if you have $450 to burn then go for it. If not then don't!

5 RepliesI bought an xb1 because I wanted somewhere nice to place my coffee. So far its doing the job nicely and allows me to play my ps4 without having to worry about knocking over my morning cuppa
-
14 RepliesTrust none of the Xbots they have all been brainwashed into thinking that the Box is the best at games and crap. Although if you like the 1980s VCR size and looks you may like the Xbone
-
The only reason I don't own an XBOX1 is because most of my friends spend most of their time on ps4.

Not caring about games or hardware, i love the customer service above all. Been PlayStation myself since the first and was never given anything free for the hell of it. Xbox gave me months of live service free jusy because i was playing their games. Like with the master chief collection. Free month extension. Didn't have to do anything, they just added it to my existing subscription and told me about it in a message. Loved it. Also as far as social media goes it's more to my liking on Xbox. Going into hardware it doesn't really matter though i do love the constant updates and how they inform us. Even updates to the controllers. Also windows 10 according to Microsoft will feature full xbox one compatibility with cross platform multiplayer...so there is that. Lastly going into games, one thing i can definitely say about xbox versus PlayStation...though PlayStation has a larger library, in the US market PlayStation has many games that simply won't ever be available to us...that's not the case with xbox. If they say they're getting a game...guess what... you're going to get it. Sorry i was a bit long winded there. Hope it helped.

I have both and play destiny on both. I also have a custom built pc. Life is good.

Currently there is ZERO reason to own a XB1. I have a PS4, PS3 and XB1 and the ONE get's the LEST amount of attention due to lack of compelling exclusives. And don't you guys dare talk to me about Halo MCC. It's trash...and Halo 5 is not looking that great ATM. There is a single XB1 exclusive that I'm looking forward to....Scalebound Sick to your PS4 until XBONE gets better exclusives.

3 RepliesForza best racing game only on xb1 Gears of War great game only on xb1 Halo, might come out to be better than Destiny only on xb1 Titanfall, the second main reason why I would want an xb1 Can't wait for the second iteration of Alan Wake only on xb1 If you're a true gamer, the consoles don't matter only the games If you have the time and money then you buy both of them and enjoy the best of both worlds

Xb1 controller is a reason to buy it!!
