Is the Invective shotgun worth the hassle?
So I've started 'A Dubious Task' without first checking the attached wiki and I've suddenly realised that there is a PvP step involved. Apparently I need to achieve a +25 kill or assist / deaths rating in the crucible, the problem being I am not very good at PvP. There is potential for me to fall into a pit of negatives because I usually suffer more deaths than kills.
So the question, is the Invective shotgun worth the hassle?
NOTE: Thanks for all the tips. I've done this 3 times now and the hardest part seems to be farming glimmer.

It's an amazing shotgun. Ammo regen is the key perk to this gun, as you'll never run out of ammo.

With the PvE shotgun buff, invective is quite the bomb

1 ReplySolid weapon. As for your farming glimmer comment. I assume you are referring to the part where you need the Special Ammo Synth. You mean you don't have hundreds of these thanks to the Wolves public events? I wish I could give you some as I could complete about 10 Invective bounties currently.

2 RepliesAbsolutely yes! It is easily one of the best guns in the entire game! It's a beast in crucible and a must have for cabal missions, strikes and PoE. Also unleash a full auto clip into a wizard and watch the thing burn!

Invecte is good for cabal majors. It just tears through them, but them again so does, and ascended Found Verdict

I use invective in the poe for cabal rooms due to its regen of ammo or when juggler is turned on

No plenty of shotguns that have better range and perks and don't take exotic slots.

YES! It's one of my most used weapons these days. In the frantic world of PoE, a full auto, high RoF, Solar shotgun with regenerating ammo is a very useful thing to have.

Invective is definitely worth the bounty and the PvP part was so easy, I finished it in one game of Combined Arms using Patience & Time
