•
Posted by: Sir_Griff I just hope they are not unlock-able by rank. they should be balance out good enough for anyone to start with.
Were equipment unlockable by rank? No? So why would armor abillities be? They presumambly spawn on multiplayer maps. It seems like everyone spawns with either nothing or Sprinting in the default multiplayer and can go out and find different ones on the map if they prefer a different playing style.

I really hope they are pickups, otherwise there is no way to balance them well. For example what if you pick one and because of the choices of the other team yours is useless the whole game and there is no way to switch. Or what if an entire team uses one type? With pickups they are like power weapons and are only available in a limited number.

The player literally finds them on the ground, drops his sprinting, picks up the cloaking. How did you think he swapped armor abillities?
oh wow.. sorry, i just read the IGN report on it... the were vague so i thought the article was vague I honestly can't afford the issue right now i have 32. cents to my name
It was pretty vague in the article to, but its what makes the most sense based off the description.

  • It's just a different iteration of the equipment of Halo 3.
I don't want to be stuck using only one armor abillity the entire match.
I don't want to have to deal with some kind of perk that not everyone can have at the beginning and people that level first have an advantage early.

  • Your name sounds like your a Mobster, shall i call the FBI? I agree with you though, and from what i have gathered, they will act much differently than what call of duty perks act like.

  • *sigh* "Perks" are just Call of Duty's way to call different enhancements the player can be given and switch. AN IDEA, can't be copied, only used in a different way.

  •
Posted by: Viper Skills They SOUND like a number of things but until we see gameplay of them then we can't exactly rule one way or another.
Other than the fact that the entire "reuseable equipment" matches up completely with the Game Informer description while Perks do not.

  •
Posted by: Po0f MoNk3y Depends on how they're used. If it's like, a certain armor permutation gives 'X' effect, then yes. If it's a pickup mid-game, it sounds more like equipment.
It's pickups.
