So, as the title goes, which new elements would you like to see introduced and why? My choice would be Frost or Ice damage originating from Uranus (coldest planet....waits for the jokes) which would be the perfect opportunity for Bungie to introduce this as a new planet with a new type of enemy!
Evolving this idea, with it looking like Guardians have a third space for their playing style i.e. Gun Slinger, Blade Dancer and......., how would new elements translate in to these? A poison gas grenade? Ice Shot (a grenade that stops enemies on the spot)?
Suggestions?
-
Gamma. Green Elemental damage
-
Acidic or poisin it would fit for badjuju and thorn perfectly
-
Light damage in a pure form. They could make it so that light damage weapons have increased damage against all minions of darkness making light weapons the optimum pve weapon.
-
Slag!
-
Slag to any borderlands fan you roc
-
How about the element of surprise.
-
Tears.
-
Acid, green element where on hit does a Damage over time. Maybe the guns have a lower impact to accommodate the additional damage and promote weapon switching
-
Frost/Ice
-
Water element Exotic machine gun called the super soaker.... Vex short out instantly and the witches melt and everything else just gets all grumpy about getting wet and they just leave...
-
Is like to see plasma
-
You mention a type of damage that already is in game i.e. Poison, but all the elemental damage so far relates to light/energy or lack thereof. An ice elemental damage type might translate into, um, darkness, but since that's taken mebbe Inert or Entropic (not the heat part, just what's left). They could introduce cosmic or radioactive or the like to go with fusion, electric and ether...
-
Heart element. So on certain weeks we can kill strike bosses with... Heart burn.
-
Maybe wind? And create a new species of enemy that flys?
-
Poo Burn
-
Guardian tears. Xûr has to have those in stock right?
-
Earth! Wind! Fire! Water! Heart! wait..... wrong elements.

Edited by Fjellsko: 2/5/2015 8:19:18 PMCryo Has "frostburn" as a dot effect, dealing Cryo damage. Included perks in class build: Passive perks: Biting cold: All granades/supers now applies frostburn. Granade that allready have frostburn has the effect doubled. Cryo skin: Standing close to a frozen or chilled enemy gives an 50% increase to recovery and weak shield (about 50% of Sinsinger's flame shield) Ice pick shots: shooting through an enemy that is frozen penetrates and applies frostburn and chill to targets that are hit Melee attack Cryogenic touch/fist/knife: Target is frozen in place for a few seconds, afterwards the target is chilled and is slowed for the same duration of the freeze effect. Cryogenic touch/fist/knife sub perks: Cold Shotgun: 120 degrees cone effect, starting from initial target, continuing behind a few meters. Deep freeze: Doubles the time of chill effect. +1 Armor Icicle daggers: If target dies, blast out 8 fast shooting ice dagger 360 degrees from initial target dealing medium damage and chills enemies that are hit. Granades Ice granade: Normal aoe granade that deals bonus dmg to chilled enemies. Extends frozen effect duration of enemies (If they are frozen) if they are hit. Blizzard granade: Normal aoe granade with greater radius, bit less then normal dmg and gives a frostburn effect to enemies that are hit. Tundra granade: Trap granade that explode in trigger, dealing high dmg in a small aoe, also freezes the targets that are hit. Jump ability Ice plate: double jumping creates a small ice platform that hovers in air for a few seconds. Allies can also stand on these platforms (only space for 1 guardian at a time). Only 1 ice platform can be active at the same time. Jump ability sub perks: Ice trampoline: Jumping on an ice platform gives a boosted jump. Double ice: extends duration of ice platform and allows 2 to be active at the same time. Cold eyes: Standing on a ice platform drastically increases stability and give a minor Armor increase during the platform stay. Supers Hunter, Howl of Fenris: Maxes out stability and recovery and gives a 10% damage boost for 10 seconds to all allies. Howl of Fenris sub perks: Thick fur: Now also gives a slow constant recovering shield on all guardians during the duration Shivering echo: Doubles the duration of Howl of Fenris. Also blinds most types (not ultras) of enemies in a HUGE aoe for a very short duration. The big bad: Instead gives a 20% dmg boost and gives all Guardians the frostburn effect to all hits on enemies. Titan, Rage of the Snow Giants: Throws a massive snowball (With both arms. Not like the voidwalker's super), dealing medium damage in a huge aoe. Rage of the Snow Giants sub perks: Deep freeze: Applies frozen effect to all enemies that are hit. Tundra: Leaves an area within the supers aoe thy chills enemies for a moderate amount of time The lesser ones: instead throws 5 smaller, slower moving snowballs that has minor tracking. Blinds enemies that are hit for a very short time. Warlock, Blood of Fenris: Reduced incoming damage by 90% for 10 seconds. Taunts all enemies within a huge aoe. Blood of Fenris sub perks: Wicked blood: All hits done have a chance of adding a frostburn stack (slower fire rate = higher chance of applying a stack). When the super ends the frostburn stacks activate to deal damage applicable by the number of stats. Bringer of Ragnarok: 50% of all damage taken during blood of Fenris is reflected back at the attacker. (Damage returned is calculated before the 90% damage reduction) Frozen fur: All hits taken now chills attackers and has a medium chance of applying frozen to attackers. This took a lot of time to write. Hope you like it ^^ -Fjellsko EDIT: Making a whole Cryo thread, with skills and perks for all classes: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/98612529/0/0

seduction. blinds all male players and only shows female characters.

To everyone who thinks arc refers to light... in the grimoire cards the 3 damage types are called solar light, arc light and void light... so basically all 3 of them are light
-
chilly it's ice damage.
-
darkness infused. something like the thorn or bad juju should have it cuz bad juju's got this darkness thing coming out of it
-
Whatever is strong against post patch lag and glitches
-
Any elemental damage that isn't the color red, blue and purple. Maybe a green or yellow.
-
Swag power. Shooting at dancing enemies will break their dance shield and cause them to dance faster and faster till they die.
