There are rumors spreading about of special raid armor, known as second tier armor. But no one has obtained such armor, or even seen a in-game model of it. This is a short speculation of how this armor is obtained, and from what I've heard, this is very possible. Theory: When the House of Wolves DLC hits, the VoG will be rendered obsolete. People will only try it for the Vex Mythoclast, Class Items, and Fatebringer. But other than that, this raid is not worth doing. To revive the community, a third level of difficulty will be added to the level 28 and 30 versions of it. From this even more difficult version will this better gear drop. The same thing applies to Crota's End, although I think this will apply to it after House of Wolves, whatever Bungie's plan is for Destiny. Once again, just speculation and ideas.
