Okay so I know all people seem to do on the forums anymore is get on here and complain about some rather ridiculous things. But I'm curious to see how the community feels about something I have had an issue with.
Factions require marks to purchase their gear. Fair enough. However, they will only allow you to spend crucible marks and use crucible commendations despite allowing you to obtain rep for them during strikes, nightfalls, etc. I find it rather idiotic that you are forced to play crucible in order to purchase any of the cool gear the faction vendors have.
Now before I get flamed telling me to "git gud" understand that I enjoy playing crucible with certain characters. I have one of each character and I just don't enjoy using my warlock in crucible. This means I have a character working his way to rank 4 with new monarchy only through vanguard missions yet I can't use any of his marks on anything save the vanguard vendors. I personally think that's pretty stupid and Bungie should allow us to spend whichever kind of marks we like on the faction vendors.
So now that you've heard what I think let me know what you, my fellow guardians, think about this minor grievance of mine. Vote now and leave a comment or even bump this post if you think Bungie should change the way the vendors operate.

I think it's stupid too. Rep but no marks unless you PvP. Either bring in a universal currency or change the rep system. Instead of awarding vendor rep and Vanguard marks, give us crucible marks when levelling a crucible faction. Very strange that a faction would give you loyalty points but no way to take advantage of them. This way there is one PvP exclusive vendor, one Vanguard exclusive vendor and three open to anyone. Seems much fairer IMO.

Bump, bump bump, bump it real good.

+1. IMO solution is to merge/ delete crucible marks so that there are only vanguard marks, earned in both pvp and PvE, and spendable with everyone. The cap should also be raised , earn 150 max pw, have up to 300 in stock.
-
Yep this has been brought up many times. I think the simplest method would be one currency with a higher cap. The only thing locked behind pvp then would be crucible rep. Which makes sense.
-
Not only this, the whole economy of the game kind of s*cks. The caps that exist, the costs of ammo synth (wo Xur) and upgrading stuff, almost useless shards, energies & motes of light. Glimmer is my biggest issue currently though. Alternative to your good suggestion is to cycle all guns & armor between vendors.

I agree with some of the posts that we just Don't earn enough. I can do all manner of activities and earn Vanguard marks, yet crucible I have to play, at a minimum 34 matches, assuming they are wins. At an average of ten minutes a match that's pretty u productive.

I'm giving this one last bump before I give up. Come on guardians. This is something that would actually be helpfully to the Destiny community
-
It's the reason I never rank with a faction. I totally agree.
-
I would love this: Victory: 5 marks Loss: 3 marks Geez, we gain too little marks each match
-
Bump. Come on community. Shrek is love
-
Bump because I think this something that's actually important

Agreed, it's silly we can use vanguard bounties to gain rep for them but not the marks. They really seem to want to force us into pvp. Deej even feighned an attempt to address this by saying we could do vanguard bounties for them when that was not the issue. I don't understand why when this game was meant to be a pve focused game, pvpers get 4 factions and pve is just one. At least before we could purchase marks with materials but not even that works any more. Wish bungie would focus on their largest audience and the ones that will stick with this game in the long haul. But instead they simply bend over backwards to nerf/buff weapons and provide constant events for the pvp whiners when they will be done with this game when the next cod/battlefield or whatever comes out.

Im with you. It alienates people from part of the game imo.
