Is it any good? I have the piece of shit Hughes Net satellite internet and I can't play worth of shit. No one in the tower, can't match on the strikes, can't even do crucible. I always have to rely on someone else fireteam JUST to get people. It sucks... What kind of Internet do you all have?

  • Yo I have suddenlink and it sucks so bad, I can barley play. For instance I was 8-0 in trials with no mercy and at the last second I got kicked with error code donkey or something retarded.

Satellite internet, in general, is going to suck, as your upload is a dial up modem connection, and while the download side is pretty fast, it has horrible latency to the request, and an action game requires far lower latency than current satellite tech provides. To step up your internet, you would honestly do far better with old school ISDN if you can't get cable or optical.

    • Never heard of it but anything is better than Hughes net. I would recommend AT&T or comcast

      • Suddenlink here. Been great for the 2-3 months that I've had it and that's going from time warner 100g connection. Not sure if it's destiny or my router but I do get the "strict NAT" message a lot. Besides that it's fine.

As a Verizon employee, I would love to say "Yeah! Get Verizon!" But don't. I have suddenlink and it's fantastic. Super fast (can do hulu on a Macbook and ps4 at the same time) and super reliable. We have a ps4, xbox one, 2 laptops, 2 cell phones, and 2 tablets connected at any given time. I had att uverse at my previous job and it died all the time. Had to constantly reset the dang thing. Also, suddenlink is unlimited. Practically. It has a 350GB cap. We have only went over once (I downloaded 7 games in one day...). Verizon (unless it's Fios) is going to be limited. Att may be unlimited, but it's gonna die a lot. Good luck and happy shopping :)
