History is Being Made

And it's exactly similar to alcohol prohibition being repealed. How soon do you predict marijuana will be legal in a state? California came surprisingly close last year. Eight states are trying this year. Could it finally happen? How soon before it's legal nationwide? I guarantee Florida will be last. Five years ago I would have said it wouldn't happen in my lifetime and am gratefully surprised to be wrong.

 •
Posted by: farmerscott21 I hope to God that it doesn't become legal. Sure, it may not cause health problems, but it would make us become the laziest society in the world. Everyone would be high and completely out of it all of the time. It would pose the same danger to our society as alcohol does. Sure you would have the people who used it in moderation at the appropriate times, but we don't need a new group who uses it completely out of moderation all of the time.
Honestly, this is the only possible negative outcome of legalization. It is rather unlikely, though. Alcohol is legal, and most people don't get drunk all the time. And only some types of weed make you "lazy" temporarily. Hell, I got really stoned, did all of my homework (English paper that I got an A on for 'creativity'), then I went to the beach and built a fire and a tp. Edit: And by lazy, I mean couchlocked. It happens with indica strains. [Edited on 04.14.2012 11:47 PM PDT]
