I just got Morrowind, and it's a great game. I was walking along, and all of the sudden I couldn't move. At the bottom of the screen it said that I was over-encumbered. How do I get out of this?
-
drop some things your carrying to much junk.
-
Alright, thanks.
-
it means your strength stat was lower some who and now you can't move for the fact your not string enough to carry all you items you have, got it
-
Just a tip: Don't go in any tombs without a Restore Strength potion/scroll/what have you. Those Bonewalkers can drain your strength to 0, and then you have to revert to a previous save because not even dropping all of your stuff can stop you from being over-encumbered. In fact, make sure you have a way to heal yourself and your attributes regardless of where you go. There's some nasty things running around Vvardenfell.

I did just what you told me not to do. And I don't have another saved file. I think i'm screwed.
Posted by: amazedsatsuma LOL, go to the temple, that helps
I can't go there if I can't move. Sorry for the double post.

The Bonewalker got rid of your strength? Well, you could at least try to drop all of your stuff and get the hell out of there. Your stuff will be there when and if you return. Mark the spot on your map. Use Divine Intervention or head to the nearest Imperial fort; there ought to be a Divine Cult Altar there. It can restore your attributes for a small fee. I've heard a lot of conflicting arguments on whether 0/0 encumberance is over-encumbered or not, and I've never bothered to go check myself. [Edited on 12/31/2004 2:28:39 PM]

Yeah... what caused it? Did you just pick up a new Item? Or is this an attribute drain thing?

Than unless you have anything that restores health (spell, potion, item, etc), you're pretty much screwed. if not, drop all of your stuff (Armour and clothes too) and see if you can move.
Posted by: buffalo wing
Posted by: Tanikaze Are you playing the Xbox or the PC version?
Xbox version.
Get the PC version. It's the same price as Xbox Game of the Year, and just like Xbox GOTY, includes both expansions. It's a million times better, with mods and the Construction Set. Then again, I have Will Wright syndrome; That is, making levels is more fun than playing them for me.
-
have you seen pic of the 4th one comming to X box 2
-
I'm avoiding Oblivion as much as I can until it comes out. I've been waiting for this since Redguard, I'm not going to spoil it for myself.
