Regardless of whether I'm on the winning or losing team, close matches are relatively rare; one team is typically getting rolled.
Can anyone point me to any resources that talk about how Combat Ratings are calculated, and what their impact is on matchmaking?

Matchmaking is you and friends or randoms which ever vs the player who aspire to be Youtubers using all the guns that the say use that week and which class bungie lets be overpowered then it puts that on replay for the next 3-4 matches and hopes that by the end of those matches you and your rag tag team have won against the red bar and try hards that have harassed you . #GoodLuck#LordSquishyHunter#Que es un faro

It doesn't. I just got out into 4 straight games where I got mercy ruled, and the fifth game I had 42 kills.
-
Seriously! I am getting nothing but 12 vanguard rep every time I do iron banner because my teammates are garbage, despite us all being >300 light. The enemy team ALWAYS has over twice the points when they win. Destiny just LOVES making pretty good players carry the sucky ones against a team completely made of pro players
-
No joke, just the other day i got placed with an entire team of people with k/d's lower than 1. I was the only one sith a k/d of like 1.5 or more on my team, and i tried to carry so hard. I had something like 25 kills per game and thos happened 3 times in a row. The other teams were rocking k/d's of like 2.0-4.0. There was nothing i could do to save those games. 1.5 isnt bad for what i had to deal with. They really need skill matchmaking because how the hell am i expected to carry an entire teAm of people against an entire team of skilled players?

matchmaking = put best players with worst possible team mates and bungie expets best players to carry
-
It calulates worst connection to give host. If it puts you in a match in progress it puts in the hightest score gap possible.
-
Well you see when you have 8 people just starting a battle, it will evenly divide them into one team of 6 and one team of 2.
-
It doesn't.
-
More likely than not, you are experiencing perception bias. The matches that stand out to you are more easily remembered. Your particular case is uneven teams.
-
Badly

It doesn't.

It doesn't work! BOOM!
-
Not at all?
-
Can it atleast stop putting me in rumble games that already are in progress?
-
Idk how but it needs to be changed so sick of being put with teammates who are not anywhere near good in PvP
-
Poorly.
-
You kill... Points for you.. Is you kill? No points for you...
-
Destiny doesn't have a skill or ranked based matchmaking. Plus they don't have a capable way of calculating ones skill in crucible.
-
Idk but it sucks when im always on the top of the leaderboard with a 1.5-3 k/d and expected to carry everyone with a k/d lower then .5 which is the rest of the team
-
After spending a sad 30 plus days enjoying crucible since taken king I am retiring as I spend more time losing and watching team death skulls appearing than winning. Hit detection is worse, matchmaking is not helping as they are putting a couple of experienced with 4 random learners, pub stomping fireteams are definitely more common who maul us solo players. I will come back in a month and see if its better. I have between 1.5 and 1.7 kd across each class and used to have a 55percnt win rate. Shame as it can be fun.

It doesn't

They reset teams and also have a mercy rule if one team is getting blown out. Because of this, Getting spawned on to a shitty team happens way less frequently than it did in year 1. Also, everyone is bad.
-
It doesn't - Bungie
-
I'd say it's pretty much a collection of monkeys churning one of those giant bingo balls. Random at best. I love to get into a really tight match that's decided in the final seconds, but about half the time one team is curb stomping the other
-
It doesn't, its probably broken, unbeknownst to most.

It doesn't. *Bum dum tissh*
