At minimum, ideas presented here inform decisions and spark ideas - while we may not like a particular idea, it often can make us think about a particular problem a different way. The big problem is that we can't really communicate what we think of most things because doing so is more complicated than a few forum posts. I guess what I'm saying is that you should treat your feedback more as a brainstorming session (where there are no bad ideas) rather than quibbling over implementation details (which is where a lot of you get hung up).
