How do I turn off auto aim/ aim assist? I hate it with a passion because it messes me up more often than not.

It's very annoying ... I've messed around a lot in settings and I don't think there is anyway to actually turn it off Unfortunately.

Gotta love when you are rocking someone's dome and another enemy crosses your sights, turning you a good 45 degrees. (Exaggeration obviously)

Bump!

There is currently no way to disable aim assist.
-
I dont think you can turn it of same as the invasive music we have no options =[
-
I would also love to know this. Do not Like aim assist. Do not want aim assist. I want to shoot at what im aiming at, not whatever runs by.
-
Totally agree. It has drastically affected my gameplay in crucible. A friend of mine doesn't have much trouble though. I want to disable it completely. If I suck, I want it to be because I suck, not because a game mechanic is pulling me off target

I hate it too. I was doing the Cerberus Vae strike, like usual, aimed with my sniper onto Valus Tau'arc's head, almost dead center, then aim assist pushed the bullet just away from his head multiple times in a row

There is, currently, no way to turn off aim assist. That is good feedback though and you should post it in the feedback forums. The designers do read them.

Okay, am I missing something here, I have not seen any aim assist in this game. How is it supposed to work? Does it follow targets automatically when scoped? Or does it only do it from hip to scoping? Do I need to let go of the right stick for it to work? How? I am absolutely not seeing it! I've tested it since I found out the game is supposed to have aim assist but I see no proof of it whatsoever. Although it does explain why my enemies in the Crucible can hit me in the head while both of us are flying about and/or moving a lot...
