Destiny's framerate wizardry

Like any proper graphics snob, I was expecting a very jittery 30fps while I played Destiny. But it wasn't. At all. Dare I even say that it's
Silky Smooth?
While it's true that how responsive a higher framerate is more important for plenty of other shooters, the playstyle of Destiny (like Halo before it) is actually more fun with a sluggish controller compared to m+kb. So I'm not concerned with reaction times, but instead the visual aspect. Destiny simply is not jittery despite the 30fps, I haven't noticed it at all and I'm even playing on a monitor (in my experience, that makes framerate issues more noticeable). I'm thinking that there might be a frame buffer of some sort that smooths the transition between frames like some HDTVs. I don't think simply having a stable 30fps is the only factor in how smooth it ended up. Mario Kart 8's 4 player splitscreen and Dark Souls are both locked in at 30fps without any real drops, and everytime I'm distracted by it. I suspect a motion blur is used to help mask it, but the motion blur wasn't strong enough for me to notice. This leads me to ask: Can someone help enlight me to how Bungie might have accomplished a non-distracting, smooth 30fps? Maybe it's a combination of the techniques I listed above? Bravo Bungie!
