The Destiny files seem to be updating fine on PS4 but the Vanguard Armory file is missing on my console and on my girlfriends it has a notification that says "cannot download" for the Vanguard Armory file. EDIT: It appears that Bungie has included the Vanguard Armory unlock (as well as the expansion pass) in one add on called "limited digital edition." I suspect that after it attempts the first queued download it does a check and sees that the content is already "installed" and does not keep attempting to download it. This would explain why I don't even get the "cannot download" on my console since I turned it on after my girlfriends (actually my primary console). If you check your add ons for the Destiny client it will show up as "installed." For those trying to school everyone and claiming that there has to be a "host" file or you can't install an add on without something to add to -please stop spreading misinformation. The posters in this topic are confused because PSN has always allowed us to download and install add-ons (which are usually just unlock codes) without the game it is intended for. That is why add-ons bought separately will always have a message that says you need to have the full game to use this content (PSN will still let you purchase, download, and install an add-on that you do not own the game for). If you buy a "complete edition" of a game often all the unlock codes will install first because the files are smaller. If you have purchased the Destiny Digital Limited Edition it includes the Expansion Pass, however you can still purchase the expansion pass separately -do not do this if you have the Digitial Limited Edition. Again -please stop spreading misinformation. EDIT 2: I just went to the PSN site: it lists Vanguard Armory as a separate download. I attempted to queue it up for download again. It said that it was already downloaded, and it gave me a download error. When I go to my add-ons it says the Vanguard Armory is already installed under the Destiny Limited Edition Add-on (if you click on it it will take you to a separate screen that says Vanguard Armory installed.).
