No. You shouldn't get punished over a game. I swear to Zule PVP players are the worst community on any gaming forum with their underwear wedged up their cracks all the time on everything.

I think it depends on the situation. I just left 3 games in a row in Black Light Retribution. Why? Because of lag. Is it fair to punish me for that? Should I subject myself to faulty matches? Tbh, IDC about anyones answer. If a match is laggy. If a match is horribly unbalanced. I will leave. I will leave every time, because I will not subject myself to that. You ever play Cod, and got placed in a match with dogs, choppers and you couldn't leave spawn? Its BS. Punish me all you want, but that just shows that you would rather ignore serious issues(lag, team balance), than legitimately fix them. None of you ppl ever consider those issues. You just think every one is trying to save a Kd or leaving because they are losing. Than you implement punishments, and they affect ppl like me who just want a good match.

Well if you wanted to fix PVP then PVP should be a friends only mode or a clan affair. If you're willing to play with randoms on matchmaking then you need to suck it up and expect Random interactions. Some will be good and some will be bad. But punishing randoms for being randoms is never gonna work. Bungie did it with Halo 3 and you still had quitters and AFKs. The same argument applied to Raids actually works great for PVP as well. Since you have to find six guys who are willing to talk and work together. The other team has to do the same. Bam PVP is fixed on the communication issue and quitting. Your friends are less likely to quit on you. The same could be said of the other side you're facing off against. But it's too hard for you babies. So randoms will wreck your experience because PVP cannot face the hard choices.

  • I agree 100%. I think there should be modes for fireteams only. And modes for solo players only. There should also be ranked and quick match lobbies. Rank will have rewards and punishments. Quick match would just be for quick matches Lol. Stats wouldn't matter. It's just there to practice and just game without trying hard. Ranked would be where you become legend. I just want to add, that punishments don't really do anything. We have seen this in damn near every online game. Ppl still quit, no matter the punishments. I think in order to change that, we need to find the reasons they leave. And address them. That IMO will go along way, than just ignoring those reasons and slapping on punishments. Ex. If ppl leave a game because their team sucks. And if the mm doesn't balance teams well, they will continue to leave.

  • I'm talking about other teams who quit because they're losing. I understand Randoms are going to quit that's why I try and go in without them but if my friends aren't on then yeah I want play

Well then you're going to have to allow players to hide their stats. Public stats can be too much for some egos. K/D is more the culprit than any why players bug out. Never had any problems on Quake Arena. No visible stats. Just a score board at the end and that was it. It was over. If you lost, you were back at it. Also teams had the option to switch sides. Now it got abused. But it also worked in players would switch sides to even out the match fairly. Like I said its the good with the bad. You just have to be willing to live with hard choices for the over all experience. But I still believe your best bet is in players having to form parties to play PVP like they'll have to with Raids. The harder the better. Less likely to quit if they really had to work to get a match in the first place. Get rid of the K/D stats and then it's just about the win or loss. If they quit they quit. You get the win. If you lose. Well you got a loss. Now if it has the third option showing a number on how many times you quit, that's the one that goes a long way towards the ego.
