My biggest question is how can one believe the entire universe came into existence via "The Big Bang" by pure random chance as opposed to "The Big Bang" by intelligent design? Look at the structure of a muscle and how it produces ATP? The odds of that happening by pure chance alone are 1 in infinite. Now, look at the structure of the eyes, ears, nose, lung, heart, etc. Thats not even counting the solar system and physics coming into existence via explosion. How many explosions have resulted in mathematical order and physics? 1 if the theory is correct via random chance. What are the odds of that happening? Tornados creating Boeing 747's by destroying a trailer park is more likely.

  • The universe is in order? If the universe is in order then why is our sun approaching supernova, (slow as it may be). And the theory behind the big bang is that it follows the laws of physics as we understand them and continue to modify those laws with our increasing knowledge of subatomic particle physics and/or things like string theory. Scientists all admit that the big bang is a theory which is why it is called the big bang theory. evolution is also called a theory. as far as a muscle producing ATP, for instance, you could think of it from a backwards perspective. With the laws of physics and our understanding of biology the chances a muscle would not develop that way could be considered infinitesimal. Most scientists I know would admit the possibility of intelligent design as a theory. And a tornado creating a 747 would be the same as the big bang occurring and all of the sudden their being modern life. But according to the theory of evolution that is not how it happened. It took millions of years of slow and sometimes not so slow changes to occur. I am not saying there is not intelligent design, only that I can admit the possibility that intelligent design does exist and the possibility that it does not.

  • If you open your mind a little you will find out that there are alot more books than the one you get ALL of your answers from. I have no problem with religion but I do have a problem with ignorance. Science answers alot of your points. Not all these amazing things that you make note of didn't happen all at once. It's called evolution, it takes hundreds of years for small changes to be made and thousands for bigger ones.. Ugh

  • I'm aware at sciences multiple interpretations of how old the earth is and that given infinite time, anything is supposedly possible. Do you believe that given infinite time, a tornado will eventually build a functional airplane?

  • That's kind of a stupid question that you reiterated. That is an impossibility being that those are not organic.. thus won't evolve. I wonder why am wasting time here lol.. your faith is a pair of blinders.. you won't ever look around.. Peace out..

  • Considering that an airplane is a human construct and not a naturally occurring thing and the time span of a tornado would be to short to genetically alter anything, this argument is a red herring disguised to sound scientific and informed when it only goes to prove you have no comprehension of evolution to begin with.

  • I just crushed up a bunch of multivitamins in a bowl..added a little water and stirred...hooked up a car battery with jumper cables to the metal canister contained inside...and am now going to shoot off some M-80s up in there. Who thinks i create a microscopic universe up in here?

  • Welp...I was hoping to at least create some building blocks to life...maybe I need bigger explosion? TNT? Then again, if it's microscopic, maybe it's out there in the grass somewhere....and maybe some little new creature is asking the same questions we are asking...and maybe that little person is currently setting up the same experiment I just set up....or better yet....maybe a giant living organism did that and created us or what if we are all little quarks living on the electrons of a nucleus...earth/sun = electron/nucleus and that atom is a part of a cell within the skin of that giant being....or what if we are all really just in the snow globe of an alien...and they just point and laugh at us?

  • I dont. But if you decide to write a scientific paper about the research involved in how a little bit of electricity some multivitamins and an m80 is the source of universes and your steps in creating a new one so it can be repeated I'll read it, and depending on the results (I'm still gonna bank on you'll just make a mess) collaborate or dissect your results appropriately. By the by if your experiments fail you'd only be reinforcing the notion that there is no creator by eliminating one possible explanation for it. So be my guest.

  • Posts like this make people not like Christians. You basically told everyone that they are dumb if they don't agree with you. I'm a Christian and the big bang theory and theory of evolution sound more likely to me than intelligent design. Don't try to preach to people that don't want to hear it.

  • I look at our internal organs and how a baby can be formed and fed through the female body. And I can't believe all that happened by accident.

  • The organs that regularly fail, the newborns coming into the world with terrible defects, terrible design like a one way route shared by both food and oxygen... If these things were designed, the person making them did a shitty job.

  • I've seen it. Science is amazing and some very bright people have done an outstanding job of explaining how God set things up. It doesn't change the fact that science begins with no assumptions...therefore for things to exist the way they exist with no outside interference means billions of years are needed. Everything builds like a ponzie scheme from there.

Then I recommend watching again and reeeaaally listen again because you didn't seem to catch the first multiple times when it was mentioned the universe is 13 billion years old and the earth is 4.5 billion years. And where is your proof there is a god that created everything? Show me that and I'll take you seriously. Until then go rewatch the show and learn something.

  • Yes...that is my point. The 4.5 billion comes from dating radioactive substances on the earth.

  • Then you don't seem to be connecting the dots still. Again, go watch the show or read a science book. It explains everything in there.

So just because lots of things happened doesn't mean the results are impossible. But if you feel the need to believe in magic so you can face each day - well go ahead.
