I think this is a great idea. Only thing I can think of to add is when you double tap for a category it stays on that category until you double tap to a different one. For example your going into a tactical situation so you double tap to the tactical emotes it'll keep the tactical emotes set for single tap until you double tap to a different category. Maybe as a way to know what category you have selected there can be something in the corner of your HUD that says what category you have selected.
