Go up and down your street and even all around your block/suburb. Ask neighbours if you can mow their lawn, pick their weeds, clean their garage/rooms, wash their cars. Basically ask them if you can do anything that they need to do, but are too lazy to do themselves. Tell them up front that you charge $10 for the job. If they want you to do more than one thing, for instance wash their car and then mow their lawn, its $5 extra for each job. So first they ask to mow the lawn, thats $10. Then they ask to wash the car, thats $5. Then they ask to clean up their garage and organise the shit, thats another $5. That should take about 1.5 hours if youre fast, 2-3 hours if youre rusty and not used to it. You just made $20 in 3 hours. The reason you make the second and third jobs cheaper is because you want to spend as little time as possible in between different houses. If you convince them to let you do more work in their house, then you spend less time searching for a new customer and more time earning money. Not every household is going to want your service, any household with a kid thats your age will probably deny you. After all theyve already got a kid that can do the same work, why should they pay someone to do it for them. Your gold mines would be old people who want someone to talk to and cant do too much work for a long time, and young couples with babies or very small kids, these couples already have their hands full with their kids, they cant spare the time to do chores. If you can use your own tools and equipment it would be much better. If you have car wash, a bucket, sponge youre already set for car washing, for yard work try and find a set of secateurs, shears or trimmers. I don recommend lugging a lawn mower over to other peoples houses, but if youre comfortable with that then thats ok. Usually most people already have a lawn mower, you can use the customers lawn mower and hose. Keep your equipment in a sports bag or something. Basically you want to collect any tools you have at home, if you dont have any tools at home then youre gonna have to rely on the customers having them, thats too random and cuts your earning potential. If you have uncles or aunts with tools you can use, go ask them if you can borrow it for a few days (and then give it back a few weeks later when youre done). Dont be discouraged if people deny you alot, after all, since youre charging ten bux (which is pretty damn cheap) you only need 4 customers to make 40 bux. 4 households isnt that much considering there are hundreds of houses in the area. As long as you dress good (smart casual, google it) when you ask, and act really mature, theyll hire you within the week. Youre proably gonna get a little less than minimum wage, but you will make the money in a day or twos work. Plus getting a legitimate job early on, (and 15 is pretty damn early, i didnt get my first job till i was 18), is a huge bonus onto your resume in the future. People will see your can-do attitude and your eagerness to work. Get money, Get games!
