I'm hoping there is still the galactic knee I saw from one of the trailers a while back

That knee is in the regular upgrade skill tree. I think it was in the last row of three, or the second to last. It is called shoulder charge, the knee is just one animation of the shoulder charge.

It was the shoulder charge. It was in the Striker.
