3 LITTLE TWEAKS THAT COULD GO A LONG WAY!!!

First off, what a magnificent game! Bungie has done an excellent job in making - already - one of my favourite games! However, a few things are offsetting the pace of the game a little, BUT this is Beta so let's get into the nitty gritty. I have 3 things arranged in order of importance which will vastly improve the game's flow. Hope this gets noticed! 3. [b]Character Customization: [/b]There is a small lack of variety, we as players, live for in games like these. I feel 3 things let this great feature down. No facial hair options was a big surprise and disappointment. For humans, a lot of hair colours (especially blonde) is far too intense and strong. Hair tones like these NEED to be desaturated and tweaked a little! Eyebrows need to be slightly darker than the hair tones and a bit more washed. Right now most human hair combinations look considerably silly (which is a huge shame). A little tweak of this will go a long way! 2. [b]Tower Population Cap:[/b] Right now I believe that The Tower's phasing population cap is 16. I'm not sure if this was done purposely for the Beta, but I sure as hell hope not! This place feels borderline abandoned with only 16-or-so people running around, and makes travelling back to The Tower seem quite underwhelming. THIS IS THE TOWER - THE GUARDIAN GATHERING HUB!! This place NEEEEEDS to feel crowded and busy! Please do your best Bungie to crank up the cap as much as necessary to make the place feel like what it should be. 1. [b]Loot:[/b] I cannot stress this issue enough.. Countless times me and my fellow guardians are left confused after defeating The Devil Walker and Sepiks Prime. All we are left with after their death is a silent void of.. well.. nothing. No music, no "Boss Defeated", and in most cases no loot - literally nothing. Picking up loot is far from being in a good spot at the moment. Having the visual loot drops almost identical to ammo, special ammo and charge for your super is not working well. At a certain distance, it's almost impossible to tell - that's if you actually see it; WE NEED TO SEE OUR LOOT! <--- This is important. Very important. We need to be ensured we do not miss out on loot because we can't find it. When loot drops, it needs to be distinctly clarified and clear. An icon should appear above loot much like what was done for the quest items for the mission where you collect the dead ghosts. Eg. if a hand cannon drops, a pointer icon should exist over the loot with a simplistic symbol (preferably colour coded to it's rarity) to immediately recognise our loot. CLARITY goes a long way! I really do hope these changes are implemented. I REALLY HOPE this gets seen and recognised by the game gods Bungie themselves. I could not be more certain this will go towards a far better gaming experience in Destiny! Stay hopeful Guardians!

  • I agree about killing the minibosses and being left with nothing. Nothing is more disappointing than putting in work and getting no reward. It doesn't even need to be anything good, just an item drop would be nice. On the subject of loot i'm also hoping there is more in terms of gear etc that was just locked for the beta. I dont like the fact that items dont actually specifically have any rarities until ~level 20, the green, blue, purple gear is just level based and nothing more really. The implementation of different rarities for gear at all levels would be great also, it would make just running around farming in PvE fun, would be nice to open a chest and if you're lucky get a rare gun you can use for the next few levels etc. Another thing that would be good is different qualities of the items (e.g damaged, worn, average etc that a lot of rpg's use just as a modifier to make it seems like there's more weapons) that affect the damage etc of the loot you get decoded or pick up. It would make finding gear a lot more luck based and a lot more fun than a few randomised pieces you can get each few levels and pick up over and over.
