I have a scout rifle, the Trax Mallus III, which features a trait called "Return to Sender." The description of "Return to Sender" states "Kills with this weapon grant bonus ammo, directly to the magazine." This trait is not working.
I have the trait enabled and have earned tons of PvE kills with the gun, but never once has even a single bullet been added to my weapon's magazine.
I have been playing as a Warlock on the Xbox 360.

The reason they call the perk "Return to Sender" is because when you get it on a weapon, your best option is to dismantle that shit for parts.
-
Bungie has seemingly done a poor job of describing things. When I first started playing Crucible there is a description saying "Level Advantages Disabled" yet in actuality being a higher level grants advantages through better perks on gear. Seems obvious in retrospect, but highly unclear to new players. And of course I came across this thread while searching the same perk.
-
I just got the Red Hand IX with this perk, and its does not work either. After 1.1.1
-
Its like a 7.5 % chance but it does work
-
Bump. Got The Chance, thought it was trash until I saw this perk. I never get ammo back. Buff or reword.
-
I just picked up TFWPKY 1969 from a vendor and, I've got to admit, I'm quite disappointed this didn't work as described. To be honest the only reason I got it was because of the "Return to Sender" perk. I understand how it could be broken so I don't expect the gun to change and I certainly think there are bigger and more important things to fix, but it would be really nice if the description was more accurate.
-
It works 5% of the time
-
If this perked worked it would be the best perk in the game
-
The perk doesn't always activate on a kill sadly
-
It has only worked once for me and it feels like a waste of an upgrade
-
Bump, thought it would be a great perk so I stopped rolling on my timurs lash to find it only works some of the time. Very misleading and should ne reworded or made to actually work like it sounds.
-
Should be worded Kills with this weapon have a chance to return ammo to the magazine. Or buff it's probability to 80%
-
Its really misleading because no where does it say "chance" but in effect it is only a chance which turns a great sounding perk into crap. I've got it on a sniper which only holds 12 bullets and I thought OK that's not too bad if I get ammo back from kills. Sadly it works really infrequently
-
Have it on my Timur's Lash. It does work, just very infrequently, and I really have to be paying attention to it as it only returns 1 round when it does trigger. Basically, it's a poorly worded perk that isn't worth a perk slot.
-
Bump. This still needs fixing. Either the mechanics or the text. Thought I found a great Red Hand IX, upgraded to now realise Return To Sender is a wasted perk. Haven't ever noticed a bullet return to mag.
-
Its like a 5 percent chance to proc, garbage.
-
ice breaker not working right either
-
Edited by CatNippels: 1/4/2015 8:05:13 PMI got secret hanshake yesterday with return to sender and was super exited untill realizing it does not work at all!! If bungie is not going to fix this then remove it from the game! At least we wont have broken weapons.
-
Edited by Uriyaal: 1/31/2015 7:09:35 AMI think only super good advice's bullet return works 100% any perk like that other wise has such a low proc rate that its pointless.

It has 15% chance. The perk is complete shit, like mulligan.
-
So... what the hell ...? I just grind ed marks for a HC because it had this perk...... so it doesn't work at all???
-
Edited by Mab: 1/1/2015 2:00:51 AMJust got a The Chance that has this perk and it does NOT grant ammo directly into the magazine contrary to what it says.
-
So in a game where it's basically all abut gear we can just be lied to about what said gear does. anyone know if bungie actual checks these things or just checks people crying about guns being overpowered and need to be nerfed in their opinion?
-
Just got a judgement VI with this seems to work on around 1/4 kills
-
Bump!! either fix the perk or change the description to "Kills with this weapon grant bonus ammo, directly to the magazine every other day"
