Leveling was accelerated for the beta. That's probably the biggest reason why progress from the beta will be wiped.

This comment would make more sense if there were like 100 levels. 8/20 that's basically 40% max (because its probably harder to progress in the later levels)

His comment would make even more sense than that if it were only. 20 levels which is not the case. I don't have link on me but type "Moreconsole level cap." In YouTube skip to 1:30(not exact time can't remember but that's close).

Either way I'm for the wipe, so that everyone can experience Destiny how it was meant to be experienced with all the problems fixed and without the altered parameters for the beta.
