  • I expected it to be bad even before the game came out. After like 2 weeks of playing I realized it's even worse than I expected. Still kept playing for the hell of it but quit in April 2013.

  • I will not give my opinion but I will explain what I think, 343i tried something new and it didnt work, they should do different in Halo 5 but if they dont then maybe they should pass it on to some other game company.

        [spoiler] 1:As soon as 'No elites in multiplayer' and 'no firefight' and 'pre-planned DLC' were announced, it was inevitable. 2:It's campaign, however, did well to portray continuity of story (H3's ending, legendary, REQUIEM was intended!). 3: It was rushed, so much unfinished can still be found. 4: It's not terrible, but it didn't live for long. 5: Let's hope they DON'T rush their next titles and make multiplayer NON-CANON, because multiplayer shouldn't be. 6: 'multiplayer canon' also made it fail, for such was messed up and canceled simultaneously, so no 'team names' or good gametypes (Dominion was great, but was removed unreasonably, no free armors (Fotus), no Elite/Promethean players...) 7: Reach still lives, so people can go back to a slower-paced game. 8: Halo 4 tried to recreate Halo 3's fast-paced gameplay but failed because it was using Reach's Engine, should've used 3's, the idiots. [/spoiler] In the end, Halo 4 succeeded with it's campaign (and terminals, even without books you could understand if you checked the terminals and vids on youtube regarding it, Ur-Didact messed up by Flood to be EVUL).

      • It's not shit. The campaign was better than anything bungie could ever create, and though the MP fell a but behind I still had a little fun with it and the weapons were pretty bad ass.

        • Campaign was good; storywise, it was a fun time to be had, cause there was no Library/Cortana level to make me hate myself. Didact was rather one dimensional before I caught up on backstory though. [i]Still kinda is[/i]. Multiplayer was. . . . well, multiplayer. We've had 10 years of it, and it felt like drawing the same picture over and over again. Spartan Ops was possibly its greatest opportunity for longevity. But they -blam!-in squandered it. The dialogue was pathetic and disposable. Spartan Miller was such a bloody pansy and grating to hear, his dialogue especially was like a joke to Halos integrity. The structure of the missions became like a grind just to stop hearing them all talk about nothing. And worst for me was playing solo; they did not scale the game at all for anything but teams of 4, so I was doing the work of 4 people all the time and i only seriously considered destroying my disk 14 times. And then they threw the whole thing away. Literally. Into the incinerator[i](read: Sun)[/i]. The only reason I still consider following 343's Halo is for my commitment to Master Chief's story.

            Timing, and controlling, power-ups and power-weapons; gradually evolving your game; facing the consequences of a mistake; and playing [I]with[/I] a team were all too difficult concepts for the casual Halo player--so we got Halo 4. I knew I wouldn't like it when I read the Game Informer article.

            • When I saw that literally everyone was losing their shit about the "brand new Halo!" "From the producers that brought you: Halo Anniversary!" "We know what you really want!" "We're made up of all the [i]good[/i] Bungie employees!" "We didn't make Reach!" Yay, when I heard people legitimately praising 343 for these reasons, I could already tell that no one was actually looking at the game. It didn't matter what 343 delivered, the community was building their own ideas about what the next Halo was going to be like.
